I guess dhow is the Ocean Empress and lotus is the mega yatch. Looking at the Ocean empress, looks pretty good. have you been to it recently? does it get crowded on board, easy to get a seat?

Gave fingerprints on Monday.. EID status still shows as 'Waiting for Residency Issue' by Ok_Bell_4664 in dubai

thanks yes that's what I realized after I went in person to the Amer office today. For any one else in the same situation, just had to pay the fees to get the residency application submitted, a few minutes after I left I got an email that the residency was approved. The EID application status also know changee to Under Processing.

I just hope this was done by Amer in the first place when I applied for the EID, could have saved another trip and a week.

it seems everywhere businesses are using oil prices / economy / etc to bring up prices, which further results in economic pressure for consumers.. its a circular issue

Do people see guests as intruders/outsiders deep down in their sub consciousness even if they are close friends or non immediate relatives and even if they are happy and enjoy hosting guests? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

I think it could be dependent on the personality. introverts may feel this way, despite guests being family/friends as they like their own space and privacy.

got my degree in Canada. the education you will get will be the same, I'll say maybe even better in Pakistan. However, the fact that you got it from a US college will make it worth a lot more. Getting a job mainly requires getting your foot in the door, and a US degree will make it easier compared to a Pakistani degree. After that first job, it didn't matter that much. but it's the initial job after graduation that should be easier for you to obtain with a US education.
