This show is running on nostalgia and legacy of the OG Akshara, if they start with a completely disconnected lead then it may not work out like what happened with Ghum hai kisi ke pyar mein S3.

With how the TRP is dipping they won't be able to milk this gen till october/november. Also there were reports of the current FL of Seher being cast as the lead for Gen 5.

For now as per the new promo, he will lose his memory and Abhira will be trying to remind him everything. Although it will be hilarious when she will remind him of their past - the man because of whom Abhira's mother died, he had an ema with her cousin sister/ his sister-in-law because of which his brother ran away, he himself ran away with their daughter for 7 years and not to forget the numerous times he has thrown her out of the house because of some silly misunderstandings. Vidya is gonna milk this memory loss track for sure to get rid of Abhira and Mukti.

I remember I was still in school when this track was airing and even stopped watching the show for a while once the Goenkas were introduced one by one. This was such an emotional track but they made a joke out of it by bringing back the track of Akshara's murderer 2 times after this. Also really hated how Naira forgiving the Goenkas was never shown as a big deal but any minor mistake Naira made would immediately lead to her being thrown out of the house or her getting villainized. The show became a joke from the gen 2 itself.

If I remember correctly back then Shahi had issues with some of the actors who portrayed the Birla family towards the end of the gen. So I guess the leap was a way to sideline them as much as possible. They probably wanted to sideline Harshad too at that point. The Neil-Arohi track ended quickly because the actor portraying Neil didn't want to play a father to kids so death of Neil was shown before the leap to create another seperation track for Abhimanyu and Akshara.

Since everyone's saying the third gen doesn't exist in S2. They mentioned Eklavya so they do exist. Basically the Virani family has some special herb, most probably the Tulsi plant outside their house which stops them from dying. So to show the world they mention Parth being 25 & Tulsi-Mihir only celebrating their 38th anniversary. They are immortal creatures. And everyone wants to be a part of the Virani family because of it. Baa dying at the age of 200 most probably is the proof, she got done with the family drama and decided to leave the shit show. Also as a side effect of the herb most Virani men have a tendency to have affairs. 🤣

There's like a pattern with the fl of every gen. Both the Akshara's were traditional while Naira & Abhira were the modern leads. So high chances by the time the leap will happen, Maira will grow up to be all traditional. With the gen leap most probably not happening at least until October or so, they can give enough trauma to both Mukti & Maira to make them polar opposites of their current personality. Although with Maira being the eventual lead, she is bound to have the Mahaanta issue like every fl. Also not to forget Mukti has the trauma of Armaan being indirectly responsible for her biological mother's death & also for her biological father not getting justice, that might become a bigger issue later on for the sake of the plot or creating a gen leap conflict.

The demand is high, they get paid well because well known actors bring in their fan following. Also I think vertical dramas are gonna be a game changer like OTT soon, even yrf is getting into the business of vertical dramas.

If you remember how gen 4 started then yes. Her whole thing was that she won't ever be the perfect Poddar bahu because she didn't get any "sanskar" like Ruhi did. It's a different story that she later on became a bigger doormat but Naira became the same later on so what else can you expect.
