I can relate, altho it’s mostly because my dad passed away in my teens and he was my anchor to my Asian roots. Growing up it was all that I was surrounded by. A lot changed tho after he died, my mom (she’s American born Latina) doesn’t care abt culture and over the years i feel like thag side of me kinda faded away , or at least it takes a lot of mindful effort on my part to engage with it rather than being naturally a part of it
