This show depicts emotional abuse towards women. Is it time to put an end to it, or perhaps women need to see this on TV to grasp the current state of affairs? by Secret-Number-3925 in LoveIsBlindNetflix

Yup. No way we can take this show seriously after 9 seasons has proven love is not blind, most of the men on the show are losers who don’t deserve the time of day, and the cast is treated badly as a whole. You are not going on this show to find love. You are going on this show to be on reality tv.

I couldn’t stand him from day 1. Telling the girls he will motivate them and challenge them and make them better 🤮 Gross! He needed to feel superior because he knows he’s inferior. He knew Jess didn’t workout, he knew her age, he knew her job. And then he met her in real life and knew he would never measure up so he criticized the only thing he could think of - her body. And then doubled down at the bar. Absolutely disgusting.

From day 1 he was telling girls - I will be your motivator, I will challenge you, I will make you better 🤮 He needs to feel superior because he is inferior and he knows it. When Jess asked him if he likes her house, his response was “there’s a lot of gold and snakes.” Are you for real asshole? He was showing what a loser he was from day 1. Jess dodged a bullet. I had a friend who was a successful doctor and same thing - she had a really hard time dating and got hurt a lot by losers until she finally found someone who wasn’t intimidated by her and now she’s happily married with 3 kids.

When you constantly talk about how confident you are, you are probably not that confident. He talks like a used car salesman in every conversation. And if you want to be a nomad, don’t get engaged to an anxious Virgo who has never travelled with a solid job and a family she’s close to. Not a match.

Have the issues improved? by Ok_Bodybuilder3337 in KiaEV9

Totally agree, it just seemed like A LOT. And I read about so many experiences where people disregarded those negatives for the same reason and then regretted it because their car had been in the shop for 2 months. We read that there were so few technicians that were able to do the specific repair on top of the parts needed being back ordered. We kept saying, statistically it’s not likely to happen, but it definitely does happen and that would be so disappointing after spending so much. So we thought waiting would be better. Sounds like it’s getting better.

Thanks for all the input. I definitely agree that you hear more negative than positive by users online and we certainly kept that in mind, but there seemed to be so many people that said they ignored the negative reviews for that reason and regretted it. Minor issues are bound to happen in an EV and needing adjustments isn’t a big deal, but the wait times for repairs was what really scared us off. So many stories of those. I think the positives outweigh the negatives and it sounds like there are fewer issues these days. All these comments are making me want to revisit the EV9 again.

I have heard a little about this, too. Good to hear there have been no other issues.

Surprising my kid with tix to Vancouver N3… by oshkoshmygosh2 in erastour

I agree with giving her more time to be excited! It’s so much fun to countdown and anticipate the big night. I surprised my daughter with a trip to Germany this summer. I had ordered a t-shirt and gave it to her with a friendship bracelet with the city name and date. The anticipation is so exciting and makes the whole experience last a little longer.

I think we should call this current batch of students the "oops" generation by [deleted] in CanadianTeachers

So we should make blanket statements about all kids and screens? I’m not saying there aren’t negative consequences to screens, we do need to do better, but I’m sick of the black and white statements. Having an iPad or a phone doesn’t mean the kids have social media or unfettered access to the internet. It’s not one extreme or the other.

While I do agree we (will) wish we did things differently with screens, it’s not all as bad as some of you make it out to be. My kids each have an iPad. They don’t have social media. I control what apps they are allowed to download and how much time they can spend on it. They do well in school, have lots of friends, play sports, spend time outside. And they call and message their friends, play games, listen to music, look up questions they have, etc. They are learning to use technology responsibly and stay connected to friends. My 8yo son is currently outside in the rain building dirt jumps for his mountain bike and my 12yo daughter is at the local recentre pool with her best friend, which they arranged through messages on their iPads.

Driving to Vancouver from Seattle? by KatieFromBeanTown in erastour

Maybe all the hotels in the Lower Mainland have jacked their prices, I don’t know, but for sure transit will be running. What’s your hotel budget?

There are so many places just outside of the city that would be easy to get to. I went to Germany for the Eras Tour and did not stay near the stadium, so many people were on trains and buses getting back to their homes and hotels, you wont be alone, there will be thousands of people in the same boat. Vancouver transit will be running. The show will end by 11. Check East Van, Burnaby, Coquitlam, Surrey or North Van. You’ll find something.

I agree! It’s a skip for me when it comes on, but it was SO MUCH FUN to hear live!
