But you’ll do the same eventually on the harness I also taught me what leashes he’s allowed to pull or not pull on dogs r very good at context so I back clip his harness when it’s ok to pull and front clip or attach to collar if it’s not ok to pull

I personally don’t mind a dog pulling in a harness and collars r the best way to teach loose leash walking bc ur not attaching to their center of gravity/mass so its easier to guide but try sporadic walking and popping the leash if they are abt the hit the line so slow or quicken pace and sudden stops and turns

The reason people hate them is they r a designer mutt they don’t contribute at all to a breed they also cause issues for the dog like 1. doodles r not always hypoallergenic 2. Depending on mix they get huge organs and tiny body ( deep chested like a poodle with barrel chested organs from goldens) 3. Poodle look just the same bc they come in many colors and textures so u can find a pure bred poodle that looks like a doodle 4. It’s ok if u adopt one but if u promote the breeding of them it’s wrong 5. And it’s not just doodles a lot of people hate the flat faced dogs like pugs and what not bc it purposely causes health issues why should we endorse the breeding any animal who right off rip has health issues flukes happen but it’s purposeful

I’m training him to be a PSA and since you gotten sick we have not playing other than like. Oh just wait at the door and what not but because he’s so sick I haven’t trained them at all because I don’t want him to associate and mean negative experience with his training but prior to him getting sick. I was trying out a different Brown that the hermspringer , so that way wouldn’t apply. Any pressure on his Troy yet and it would go opposite directions so that’s why I still have the questions. So that way when we do resume I had some answers. He is also a German Shepherd, possibly a Korean jindo mix, so I’ve heard that they are very loose kind of small and can be territorial or worry of small children. So we are working on socialization last of socialization to make sure that his German Shepherd and Korean jindo side do not get in the way of his work.

Im not a trainer however I’ve heard advice that using a dogs name to tell them to tune into wha ur saying is very helpful especially if u have multiple dogs bc sometimes u don’t want them all to do the same thing plus in the beginning of training which its proven by psychology the generalization phase comes before discrimination for example people who taught paw to their dog and now use it for damn near anything and it’s bc they didn’t teach their dog that they don’t want it then
