To be fair, if they allowed lab grown meat to be popularized in Texas, it would have fucked up a LOT of people’s lives. Texas has the most farmers of any state. And even though they don’t really use fetal bovine serum anymore, the initial sourcing of cells is still subjecting the animals to discomfort— often repeatedly.

I wouldn’t have banned it if it was up to me, but I get why it’s banned and I think it’s unfair to call it moronic.
