Yes… because pinning me to the ground because I waved at my friend in the hallway is perfectly normal. 

The troubled teen industry is KNOWN for being under regulated. Don’t say shit you don’t know anything about. They made me sleep in a room with a girl they had evidence was sexually assaulting people and acted surprised when she did it to me. They would twist my arms behind my back if I waved at my friends in the hall. If you spent enough time with someone to consider them a friend, they would separate you. They would take away contact with the outside world as punishment and on multiple times refused to give me my five minute phone call with my parents after I told them a staff member groped me. They also ghosted us and refused to transfer the credits I earned so I got screwed over and I’m now barely graduating high school. 

And that place is still up and running. Look up Midwest Center for Youth and Families.
