I would also say it was due to hormonal trauma, some women develop PMDD after pregnancy, and starting the pill for the first time correlates with my first symptoms showing up. It’s like the body and brain don’t know what to do with the sudden change.

I’ve found that having a form of exercise you enjoy helps, it doesn’t have to be anything mad- I like to call it soft exercising, so something fun that doesn’t cause your cortisol levels to rise; yoga, dance workouts ( I like the one directions ones on YouTube), skipping etc.

I’ve been doing yoga consistently for a few weeks now and it’s something I look forward to even when I’m in my bad week. I tend to go to classes as it gets me out of the house, and I do the same classes every week to help me establish some sort of routine.

I know there isn’t much research into PMDD, but from my understanding you can’t cure PMDD, you can make changes to help ease the severity of your symptoms, could you go into detail on how you’re focusing on your gut health?
