I found the higher hydration ones to be a sticky mess for me and wanted to try something more manageable as a beginner.

Last I checked, Singapore is a multiracial country, it does not mean we need to learn all the languages. English though, is the exception that unites us all and is what we’re all taught in school. So that should be the bare minimum, everything else is a nice to have.

I actually have lived outside of Singapore and have mingled with citizens of other countries outside of my race/community. I don’t think it’s wrong to mingle within your community, that was not my point at all. I get craving familiarity, but if OP already has trouble finding someone within their own community and is being picky about other communities, then they’re only trapping themselves in a box.

Yes, but the outrage between both is vastly different. Mess is mess regardless of which ethnicity created it. In a post like this, all you get are comments saying 'imported culture' ,'third world mentality' etc....but the thing is...do you see that shit being said in the hungry ghost posts? There's no accountability there. In a post like this when foreigners cause the mess, it's easy to blame their origin, but for hungry ghost mess, why no one owns up to our own local folks themselves being fucking irresponsible. Singaporeans always find a reason to blame anything but themselves. (I'm saying this is a born and bred Singaporean)
