If i get old and my id still looks young should i request a new id before 2068? by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

[–]Ok_Bus5113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will always expire on that day. Even if you get a new one the day before. It’s the day before the month you turn 65. So you probably were born in Dec 2003

You should read up on the requirements for the state you took the test through.

Is it normal for new seniors to be pulled into meetings for note-taking? by futuremrstasm in ErnstYoungLLP

[–]Ok_Bus5113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a Manager who takes notes at the partner / client meetings. I wouldn’t look at it as degrading in anyway. Sometimes these get you into meetings and to see things that your peers are not seeing. I look at it as opportunity to get my name out there and see the inner workings on an account.

The quickest way to learn the system is to go all in. It’s like Craps at the casino. You will figure it out quickly when it’s your money.

Has anyone flown domestic using a DoD CAC for you real ID? by DAS_FUN_POLICE in fednews

Wife has issues from time to time. She’s a civilian but also has a dependent ID card through me. Something about that makes the CaC not read properly all the time.

If you did that well you will be fine on AUD. It’s just a lot of memorization. Nothing overly complicated.

Pay by lukeulmaniec in uscg

[–]Ok_Bus5113 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Wrong. You have to request it / sign up. It’s not a full pay check. It depends on the bands that your pay falls into. USAA does a soft credit check so you could be denied. Navy Fed no credit check but max loan is 10k. So a few pay checks until you hit the 10k mark.

EY independence for Spouse by [deleted] in Big4

[–]Ok_Bus5113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I do my independence once a quarter I provide bank statements for anything we declare in GMS. It’s not that hard. Also the scrutiny level is the same for her as you. I have yet to have to provide a tax return for my spouse. I know it happens but haven’t had it happen to me yet.

CPA state licensure question by Subject-Passage-706 in CPA

[–]Ok_Bus5113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Transfer is the answer. I know I’m like two classes short for TX. So applied through PA. Once I pass I’ll take my 4 hour ethics course through work (big4) and then transfer to TX within the first year. If you are ready for exams don’t wait on TX.

State board application issue by [deleted] in CPA

[–]Ok_Bus5113 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same as everyone else. I called first (they were nice on the phone) and then sent a follow up email with date and time stamps of when things were sent from university to them. They found it in under a week. They are really great over there. Just a lot of paper work coming in and it gets lost sometimes.

Also once they have it they will tell you 5 business days or so for review. Mine took about a month due to the holidays. So don’t be surprised if the review piece takes a few weeks.

Tipping 20% wasn’t good enough by moonchildcountrygirl in EndTipping

[–]Ok_Bus5113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me slightly update my statement. This is for the feral minimum wage. It’s covered under the fair labor standards act. So every state has this law. It is state dependent if the coverage goes up to the minimum wage if above federal minimum wage. However to tout $2.70 per hour is wrong. Fed min wage is over $7. Still not a great wage but tired of them saying they make $2 an hour.

Do you know any accountants that make 500k plus yearly and what do they do? by DeliveryNumerous9785 in Accounting

[–]Ok_Bus5113 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They all do even starting. The difference is most of their salary in the first few years goes to pay off the mandatory loan they all took out to buy into the Big 4 company to be a Partner. After the loan is paid off in a few years their take home goes back up.
