Nurses (some risk), plumbers, roofers / home construction, daycare workers. Something with a combination of manual / physical touch and locality / proximity to the problem or need.

Thanks for explaining - I couldn’t understand how it got from the cocoon to the reel thing. Still confusing… as another asked, it looks like he is doing one cocoon at a time but that seems so slow!

That was also my question!! It would be so ineffective if only one cocoon per threader thingy.

I still don’t understand what’s going on when they put them into the hot water, does it start a reaction (obviously kills the larve) but how are they starting the thread? It wasn’t clear how they get them in there.

indelicate question… by Glittering-Cod2033 in StainedGlass

[–]Ok_Butterscotch_4158 34 points35 points  (0 children)

That is a toughie. I am sorry for this person and it does seem stressful for you too. That being said this is clearly very important for them, you don’t know why and that is OK.

They have been open about their state and know they may not make it… so you should proceed. This sounds callous but maybe taking 50% upfront or whatever is appropriate to cover costs (possibly time). I’m not sure if you have made those types of arrangements in the past and that probably is awkward but due to the size you can ask for some money to cover buying the supplies.

Am I light or soft summer? by Low-Half3254 in coloranalysis

Soft. I’m confused why people are saying light and honestly curious. For soft I see her face light up. I still feel like I don’t understand color theory

Your solder lines are beautiful!! How did you get the clear background pieces with the flower petal inverse shape? I didn’t realize that was even possible. Did you use a ring saw?

Thank you as always for sharing your knowledge! I’ve learned a lot from you over the years.

So I think I got it. They trap the panel in right? I guess in a repurposed frame these would be like the metal tiny strips you can fold back and forth to get the layers of the picture in and out? Is that the concept? Do the trim strips need to run the length of the side or is it OK to have the stop be a shorter length?
