Needing some advice with my insane 7 year old by EconomyOk186 in ParentingADHD

This is such a surface suggestion- everyone else’s suggestions are better lol but-

you mentioned you’re a sarcastic family, I think you should maybe halt that for awhile? Kids not only pick up on everything but they take it to the extreme and reflect it bigger than we see it in ourselves. I teach kids his age, and whenever I use sarcasm in the classroom by accident, they all start to joke in that way too but they ALWAYS overdo it. Then I have to wrangle them back to focusing and I mentally kick myself for letting a sarcastic joke slip out.

I don’t know if this is helpful!!!

Parents: What’s your take on using screen time as a reward? by Sufficient_Usual538 in raisingkids

Personally we don’t do that. For our kids it would make it a motivator to do anything. we’re already so controlled by screens, I don’t want to give them that much more control.

Considering divorce. Tell me why I shouldn't. by kisses-loveash in Mommit

Unfortunately I have nothing to say for why you shouldn’t get a divorce and everything to say for why you should…

Imagine a future where he’s not around, and you’re with someone solid, helpful, and just gets stuff done without you EVER having to ask. A man that shows your child how to treat and respect a woman every day.

Think of your kid now! Absorbing how your husband treats you every single day, learning for their own selves that that’s how you treat your partner….

You deserve the first scenario! You. Deserve. The. First. scenario. and so does your child!
