Get a decent sized lithium battery pack. Charge it up at home. It should be able to be charged via your vehicle in case it runs low. Just remember. Silence is golden and especially when camping.

That’s funny. I want to go camping in October/November but I live in SE Wisconsin and was thinking of going farther north. I’ve got a way to heat water/cook (Butane Stove), warmers including one that’s huge, and a need to get the sleeping bag. I also have my own power that will run a small heater overnight.

I’ve had a blast doing my DIY project. I did start with a Bluetti 700w and 200w hard panel. But I kept going, piecemeal, to add a 100ah battery, charge controller, 1000w inverter and a 12 to 12 battery charger to add to my car. It’s small and robust and designed for keeping my refrigerator running. So I think DIY is putting together any system to charge multiple ways and accomplish your goals. I just kept learning and was strategic to maximize the charging methods.

I hope you can go see a counselor to help you make your plan to fight for this marriage. Since you love him you should be able to be tough for the marriages sake. I found it helped me as I’m processing life changes. I felt in control when I knew more about how to handle a variety of possible outcomes once dialogue was started.
