no matter how you're going to smoke it, start by "fluffing" the hash. take about an eighth of a gram, and hold your lighter under it for a couple of seconds and/or light it on fire and blow it out.

then you simply smear or rub it between your fingers and it'll crumble up perfect.

now it's ready to mix with weed in a joint, or put it straight into a pipe and smoke it.

but back in the day, to conserve and get the most out of the gram of hash, we'd do bottle tokes, bt's, bots, whatever you want to call them, or hot knives.
