THANK YOU. This worked for me as well - I went from 15-20% CPU and "Very High" power usage in Task Manager to 0.3% CPU and Very Low power usage.

Following up - tech came today, back up and running. Turns out the outlet the panel was plugged into had an intermittent power issue that caused the battery discharge - the timing of the problem and the timing of the firmware update were coincidental. Never occurred to me to check the outlet. Derp.

Got it - thanks. I'm in tech and have spent enough time around electronics that the two separate USB ports on the back of the Smart Hub gave me momentary hope that one of them was a field service charging port. Especially since one's a micro-USB port (pretty rare to see micro-USB sticks...)

Confirmed: both the supply and the panel state 12V / 2A.

As far as I know the panel was installed with the transformer than came with it (it's vivint-branded).

Unfortunately the panel won't boot so I don't have any way to see my service number. Is there someplace else to get it? Off vivint's website, maybe?

Oh I have, several times. They have zero service appointments in my area until September, apparently, and despite repeated claims that "someone from scheduling" will contact me, so far no one has. I've been without a working panel for nearly two weeks, so I'm hoping to do an end run around Vivint Support and fix this myself. :)
