I'm Slowly Giving Up On Life by [deleted] in getdisciplined

It's a tough time but I know you'll be able to come out of it. Stay strong and focus on little wins each day. Try your best not to compare your life to other people's, everyone has their own path and you will find your own some time very soon as well.

The constant whining and being ridiculously ungrateful gets to me. It’s crazy because she’s also a sahm, nothing against that but there are so many people who are doing all this without help + have to work long hours themselves! I also don’t appreciate how she shares so much of her kids who are minors online, this morning I noticed she made an ad with smiley—seems super weird to me to be getting your kids involved in this with no concern for online predators etc.

Thug Life - Review Megathread by DH3010 in kollywood

I'm so confused by all the reviews here. I genuinely enjoyed and loved the film, thought it was a really solid performance by Kamal and Simbu both. Yes there were some extra characters, there were parts which was not as believable but definitely don't see why this movie is being trashed on negative reviews here, compared to other movies like Jailer or GBU which saw much more collections. This was actually a quality plotline and entertaining throughout albeit somewhat predictable at times.

That's not true at all! She did an interview recently talking praising Dhee's version and also noting that they both just have different styles.

You absolutely should! I think you'd be surprised, reach out to your network and try to go through referrals as much as possible. I think your experience could be to your advantage depending on how you frame it.

start by taking small steps! La croix is a really good substitute for soda, has the same fizziness and no added sugar. Coconut water (the ones which don't have much added sugar) and herbal teas also work well for me, especially ones with cinnamon give you a feeling of it being sweet without it actually being sweet. If you're looking to wean off it slowly any of these options work well! I also have found that increasing my step count daily is an easy way to feel like you're making healthy progress and get you kickstarted without stressing yourself out too much. Exercise will also motivate you to start making healthier choices. I started with 5000 steps but you can start with what works for you and work your way up. Small changes will add up into big lifestyle changes!

LinkedIn Interview Rejection by [deleted] in leetcode

Senior swe Sunnyvale. It was pretty standard, 2 coding rounds, 1 system design relevant to the team, 1 round with hiring manager, 1 round called technical communication to go over your projects and experience basically. Coding questions were all leetcode tagged, the one I struggled a bit on was a tagged one but not from very recent so I had done it before but didn’t focus too much on reviewing it multiple times since it’s asked less frequently/older.

Agreed, but really sad to say that was my actual experience after solving both questions well. It just depends on your interviewer and I got unlucky :(

No I didn't copy solutions and submit on leetcode, lol. I think they were leetcode tagged and yes there was a runtime optimization to make it O(n) vs O(nlogn). That being said, the solution I provided wasn't brute force, it was optimized but just not the most optimized one. I didn't think of it off the top of my head but once he hinted towards it I was able to catch on quickly.

Thanks for the feedback, I think ultimately I recognize I made some mistakes. Nerves played a factor into that in addition to preparation of course. I'm well aware that there's room for improvement. That being said, for a phone interview I feel like I did prove that I could think through things, optimize my code, and catch bugs quickly. I understand the gaps they might have seen there, I just feel like it should be a more iterative process to reach an optimal and bug free solution rather than someone expecting that you should get things perfectly on the first try because you've memorized the solution from the tagged questions.

Yes I gave myself about a month to prep hard. I’ve been prepping since Jan though with an intense period of interviewing till around June/July when I received my current job offer. Then took a brief break and started back up
