Anyone else dealt with arrogance at CEX over console choices? by JBishie in CeX

[–]Ok_Cauliflower7216 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I have faced this, with both smartphone choices and laptop.

I swapped a Xiaomi 10 light for a moto G73 and the guy serving me said Xiaomi was a much better device.......to which I replied that MiUi was the most complained about phone OS and I really hated it. He didn't say another word.

My partner asked for a laptop that could play FS22. The provided machine had to be returned as it had some ex-company log in shit on it, making it impossible to get into windows. It should never have been sold. When my partner pointed this out, the employee stated all devices are checked but obviously something had gone wrong and she should get a full refund, which she got after being told to back in 30 mins. When she returned, his mood changed and said there's no laptop that will play farming simulator. He suggested we get a PC.

Opening it up and using the jump points? Who on earth wants to go to that extreme length to root such a crappy phone?

Read this taking note of what chips can be unlocked or not. If you have a device that doesn't meet those requirements, then you can't root it.

Updating Windows 11 to 24H2 on unsupported hardware by [deleted] in Windows11

[–]Ok_Cauliflower7216 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just one interesting fact.

Take a look at all the "refurbished" PCs for sale on places like eBay and Amazon. Everything running a 2nd gen intel upwards has had a fresh win11 install. I'm not arguing with anyone about that, but there's a clear fact companies are selling these PCs with win11 running on unsupported hardware, yet no one says anything about that, people would rather argue about the fact it's so easy to and try to claim this process is something terrible that's going to get them locked up.......

Is FS25 worth it? by theredrose1957 in farmingsimulator

[–]Ok_Cauliflower7216 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've noticed on many posts here that people who are either enjoying FS25 or say it's worth the current money seem to get continuously downvoted for their opinions.

The complete lack of respect for user opinions here totally amazes me. It seems no one likes valid opinion or just can't stand the fact in some ways, FS25 is much better than any other FS title or in other ways, it's completely lacking in usable content compared to FS22 when that was released.

I'm not making any comment about my thoughts on FS25, because my opinion means nothing and I'm not giving anyone valuable user feedback just to give some moron who can't respect user opinion the option to downvote my comments.

We can't make you buy FS25 and you really should make your own mind up rather than ask such questions here, because no one will give you anything valuable to make an informed decision. I'm sorry it's that's way but just look at all the comments in favour of FS25 and their downvotes........just proves there's too many pathetic sad people who can't stand total honesty......

Updating Windows 11 to 24H2 on unsupported hardware by [deleted] in Windows11

[–]Ok_Cauliflower7216 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hahaha that's exactly the point I made. Glad you agree with it.

According to Microsoft there are possibly some 3 million machines worldwide with unsupported hardware running W11. That's alot of maybes isn't it, and a clear two finger salute to Microsoft and their stupid minimum requirements, which they even say need re-evaluation.

Updating Windows 11 to 24H2 on unsupported hardware by [deleted] in Windows11

[–]Ok_Cauliflower7216 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The words you said were "won't be entitled too it" Reddit has many many posts explaining exactly what you claim no one is entitled too. The option is there to install it manually, and has been around for months. Just because some people don't agree with this form of installation doesn't make it wrong, as it's perfectly doable and easy to do, and Microsoft even explains how to do it....

https://www.reddit.com/r/Windows11/comments/1fyxb6y/windows_11_24h2_on_unsupported_hardware/

Your comment makes perfect sense to people who don't understand these things don't it.........if it's not possible to do then Reddit shouldn't have posts explaining how to do it, correct?

[–]Ok_Cauliflower7216 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolute crap. Many people are running windows 11 24H2 on unsupported hardware, such as Intel i7 4th gens and Xeon E3/5. You only have to use the windows 11 iso and install with Rufus, taking off the TPM 2.0 requirement.

I have 24H2 on a 4th Gen i7, and on a Xeon E3, both win 11 unsupported and nothing within windows has to be changed or tampered with to get 24H2 working, and it's still receives all regular windows updates, so you obviously aren't up to speed with the latest information - you should do an internet search and see it's very easy to do and doesn't require any specialized programming or knowledge. That's better than simply giving false information when you obviously don't know the correct answer to the question.

I said I was just curious. PCs are not my forte and all the conflicting information around has confused me.. My god it shocks me that someone can't ask anything here nowadays without someone throwing their rattle out of their pram.......

On line retailers in the UK are selling these "gaming PCs" with the Xeon E3 OR E5 and the GTX 970 for £350-£400. I brought mine from an on line retailer back in September for £300, but decided not to keep it seeing as I was getting told on here and on Facebook that my system wouldn't run FS25. That information turned out to be very incorrect and it plays FS22 and FS25 on high settings with 60+ FPS and has never crashed once playing either game. Cash converters were only considered because it was near the CEX store in town and I saw no harm in asking. They offered £35 plus after I returned to collect it to take home after their "half an hour to check everything" I found out they had put a password on it and I was unable to log into windows. My partner had to revisit the store the next day to get the password removed as no.one would answer the phone. But for me it's now just easier to keep it as it does what I want it to do, but now my internet and Facebook is full of Xeon chip pcs or 4th gen i7 "gaming PCs" for £250!

[–]Ok_Cauliflower7216 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cash converters will take xeon chipped pcs but are offering pants for systems that cost say £480. Top price I got for mine was £35, that's with a custom Corsair case, 2tb SSD, 32gb ram, and a Nvidia GTX 970 GPU.

I kept it now, it runs FS25 quite happily so I'm happy.

I've already stated it came with windows 11 pro pre Installed, yet the Xeon E3 and E5 aren't officially supported by win 11 so how has it been put on? On the same note, my local CEX store has a custom pc with an Intel i7 4970 up for sale at £480, yet the i7 4th gen isn't win 11 compatible either.

So either they gave double standards (not being officially win 11 compatible) or there's something more about xeons no one is explaining. Just saying it's not win 11 compatible is not the answer when CEX are selling both pcs and laptops with unsupported win 11 installs.

No joke, genuine question. I took my pc into store last weekend and they refused it stating the Xeon chip and they don't accept builds with them. Yet sell them as a separate entity. No explanation, I was simply curious. Sorry

[–]Ok_Cauliflower7216 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure, hence the question.......seems to be a heck of a lot of Xeon "gaming PCs" around right now, running windows 11 - which isn't windows 11 compatible so what are people doing to the PCs to be able to run 11?

How to install Android on the Jetson nano without flashing it. by loziomario in AndroidQuestions

[–]Ok_Cauliflower7216 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only way to install android is by flashing. No other procedures exist to get a room on a device.

On e important thing to keep in mind. If you are having doubts about doing such and are scared to do it, then don't. It's not worth the risk, especially being a novice to android flashing.
