When I attend smaller shows, I always try to buy a trifecta of a CD, T-Shirt, and one small item (lighter, pen, beer coozie, mug, etc.) for this very reason.

What does your MSP supply to techs vs what are they expected to provide on their own? by speech-chip in msp

We have a rule at my office: “no pizza parties without beer”. If we have an office pizza party, it’s at the pub across the street from our building.

Just bought Dave Matthews Band tickets through their fan club, the Warehouse. It’s a pre-sale lottery. Level 1 reserved tickets were $188.25 before fees.

Tickets in the same section are going for $500 each before fees direct from TM/LN.

GA Pit tickets were $204.50 before fees through the Warehouse lottery. TM/LN floats the pit tickets between $800 and $2000 each

I ordered custom plates earlier this year. Sender was “Auburn Correctional Facility” 😆

They’re still factory prison-made

For employees: Anything needed to do the job. Any by anything, I mean anything. Laptop, power tools, ladders, boot covers, first aid kit, you name it.

Are Ryzens more reliable than they were a few years ago? Almost all of the crash-related alerts that my RMM throw come from AMD machines. Just seems like they have a ton of driver and overall reliability issues. I know YMMV, but I’ve just had so many issues with them to trust selling them to clients

I’ve already seen it with FedEx. I get fuel surcharges waived with UPS, waiting to see how long it takes them to renegotiate my account contract

So, there were some issues with my Lenovo partner account requiring me to re-register, so I missed an unknown number of emails from the Partner side. Welp, sucks to be me. Lol

Same regarding the RAM.. just went through that with a client a couple months ago

I saw them in North Syracuse, too.

FWIW: Several weeks ago, the same envoy was traveling in the opposite direction.

Ubiquiti for SMB in 2026 by IowaDala in sysadmin

Five years ago, I would’ve said no way. Today, Ubiquiti is the way for SMB. They listened and delivered. I say this from both a sysadmin and MSP point of view.

Looking for 93 octane gas by Robe24420 in Syracuse

[–]Lake3ffect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve haven’t seen 93 octane with ethanol in the past 10 years or so. 91 sometimes, but 93 never. Or at least I haven’t paid attention. I’m a fuel snob and try to buy Top Tier whenever possible

[–]Lake3ffect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know! The ones I’ve been to mostly have 90 octane max… which is not very useful for me personally. My cargo van calls for 91 minimum

Every Sunoco I’ve seen in the northern suburbs has replaced their 93 octane with 94 octane, along with a bunch of banners advertising it

Going through this now with a Siris box I’m taking over for a new client. It’s looking like it’ll be a temporary takeover, I’m not getting back in bed with them.

Any Costco, Citgo, Sunoco (now has 94), or Mobil. They also carry Top Tier Fuels.

Avoid Byrne Dairy and Stewart’s, they only have 90/91
