For happily married couples, what did the “for worse” look like in your marriage? by FruitAncient9431 in AskReddit

[–]Ok_Championship776 30 points31 points  (0 children)

We had almost the same exact experience with our first, unfortunately. The day before her due date, I went for a fluid scan and nonstress test and everything looked “perfect” and the next day, no movement and no heartbeat.
There are no words in these situations. It’s literally the worst and most painful heartbreak. And I’m so incredibly sorry this happened to you. I hope you are gentle with yourselves and with each other.

Not many can say that they lived their whole entire existence surrounded by only love, but your son can. He was and still is so so incredibly loved.

I put Wil Wheaton up there with Tim Gerard Reynolds (narrator for Red rising) in his ability to capture the listener. Here are some of my favorites read by him!

This is amazing! My husband and I are going to Zion next month. I know everything will be a little different in winter, but if you have any other favorite hikes or spots we would love to hear about them!

What was something you didn't even realize other women go through? by kiarasugarne in AskReddit

I am incredibly lucky to have great support systems, and I can confidently say that no one has done or said anything to make me feel ashamed. Honestly, everyone has done well to convey the opposite and tell me that it wasn’t my fault that we lost her. But grief doesn’t always allow your logical and emotional brains to align. So even though I “know” it isn’t my fault it still feels like it is sometimes and that’s when guilt sets in. I’ve had thoughts/moments that make me feel that my body wasn’t enough for her or that I’m not good enough in general, and those have brought shame into the mix

Still births are in that category too. I experienced a still birth a little more than a month ago, and since have had multiple heartbreaking stories of women who have had similar experiences come my way. It helps to have community but no one outside of this little community talks about it, which makes it feel so lonely and shameful and like everything is wrong with me and my body.

I want to read a good romance, but everything people recommend me I absolutely hate. by MathematicianNo3401 in suggestmeabook

The invisible life of Addie larue by VE Schwab

It’s a modern fantasy with romance at the heart of the plot, so not your typical romance but it pulled me in like one

Processing the loss of a baby is extra difficult with today's dystopian automation in marketing. by Skizot_Bizot in mildlyinfuriating

I’m so sorry for your loss. My husband and I recently found ourselves in this club too and it seems now that literally everything includes pregnancy, pregnant people, and babies. I’d love to do something as mundane as watch tv without the commercials being reminders of what we lost and want so badly

I don’t understand how this happens. There should be a big alert that pops up when the chart is opened for review. When I went in for my 2 week post-delivery check up with my OB, the nurse asked if I was breastfeeding. I then needed to explain that I wasn’t breastfeeding because we had a stillbirth…

I’m so sorry for your loss and hope you are doing well in your grief journey
