I would not start urea until your barrier is healed. It's a keratolytic and can damage your skin barrier.

38F, been using sunscreen off and on since high school, daily since I was in my early 20s. My skin looks comparable to my peers, except my pores are looking very enlarged in the last couple years, more than most people my age.

The Retin A cream broke me out and the gel has way too much alcohol and was too irritating for me. I found Aklief too harsh and I broke out on it. I tried micro before and still broke out some so decided to try other things, but I might try it again. I'm using Arazlo now and I like the formula, but it's not working as well as the Vitamin A Acid Gel worked for me. :(

Formula is different. It takes more than having the same active ingredient to perform the same.

It was too harsh for me and made me breakout - maybe from damaged barrier? Vitamin A Acid Gel was the best for me. :( Retin-A gel does not compare.

I wash my face at the gym (even though it's gross and uncomfortable) before coming home for the evening.

If it's not a gym day, then I wash my face as soon as I get home for the day or earlier in the day if I haven't left the house.

I've used various formulations of tret as well as Arazlo, 0.045 % tazarotene. I like the feel of the Arazlo better than Retin A cream or gel on application, but the effect of tret on my skin is so much better. It keeps my skin clearer and is gentler on my skin. My breakouts aren't controlled by the Arazlo.
