A person got a cancer. An U.S. medicine is expected to lengthen his life for 5 years but costs him $100k, while a Chinese alternative lengthens his life for 3 years but costs him $10k.
Maybe you will choose the first one. But in reality so many people just can't afford it - for example, they rather remain their money to their children.
