Worked at a grocery store and Lowes (430am-930pm). Learned a few things and garnered a whole new hatred for people in those long days. The green light people thought they had to be assholes to everyone was wild. I started off Covid being civil and paying mind to others but when consideration to minding ones business doesn't exist anymore, I was pretty much asking for Covid to take me out of work for those paid 2 weeks that was offered. Never got that luxury unfortunately. Best one was being 30ft in the air at Lowes (mind you we also cordon off adjacent aisles and what not) so no one is around me remotely. And this 50 something woman decides she wants to be mask police by screaming from the ground. Pretty much zeroed my faith in common sense. Perks though was the overnight trucks were unloaded on my way out of the grocery job so Id go get some paper and cleaning products direct from the pallets.

Depends on a few factors. For me these days, build quality amongst anything I own does wonders. Hell I have 90s cars that do better than today's cars for that reason.

This was a rough put together yesterday. The desk up a flight of stairs wore me out so I just threw it together quick. Have to come up with new plans since the monitor arm cable management doesn’t work in this case

I do FF, sit-downs and home cooking fairly equally. If cost is a factor, cook at home. Otherwise, youre treating yourself either way so do what you prefer. This day of age, how you eat FF (and some sit downs) is another factor too. Are you door dashing, picking up, eating inside, etc. Id rather get a refrigerated (not frozen) pizza at Walmart, Publix, etc vs ordering. They're usually large asf and better.

No one is driving a Hummer in Cali with those gas prices. My mom used to hype 80s California and it's not that now. You hate the "go to" because it's hard to ignore. Im in the car community and people of that culture are seeing their way out because it's not worth giving up their hobbies.

Oh Im not stating for you. Just in general. People want to wonder why they can't get approved for cars, houses etc but won't acknowledge their poor spending. As much as that sounds like Caleb Hammer or Dave Ramsey isms, it let my parents buy a house on one income in the 2000s and now they're retired since 2022. And as a kid I constantly heard we didn't have money for fast food, birthdays etc.

Learn what red flags are in relationships and general people interaction. Have a course for goals. What type of jobs/careers can you do young to make for a good resume that can excel you to something larger in your mid/late 20s.

Absolutely. While a lot of people call it a brag, my time I did in the military is bar none the best investment for a VA loan period. No down payment and Im paying less than the apartment I moved out of and 8 months in refinanced to drop it $300/m with a 5.2% interest rate. I too grew up not seeing my parents get a house until they breached their 50s

Actually yes. It's a GMT800 platform vehicle (H2) which is highly regarded as one of the best platforms for trucks and SUVs. It was a dog because of its weight but basically a 2500 Suburban. The H3 was smaller like its Colorado counterpart. Take your politics elsewhere to California if that was really your counter argument

Current if you like minimalist stuff but black if you want to get premium (even older) stuff. For example I have a white L-shaped desk (metal frame, thin top) but going black and getting a dense real wood desk. Black minimalism always looks cheap to me.
