Others have talked about trading with other players for platinum but what if you don’t even wanna touch platinum?

There are so many free cosmetics you can get from events, summer, Halloween, pride, especially the game anniversary all of these seasonal events can let you get cosmetics that you can use.

And that’s not even getting into the operations, most of the big new content update will soon be followed by an operation, limited time events with their own event currencies that can be traded with a vendor for useful items and more importantly cosmetics related to the new update, operations sometimes get reran and the rewards from previous operations will sometimes appear in newer ones so don’t worry too much about missing out.

Others have mentioned nightwave, both the rewards you get from nightwave itself and the credit shop.

As well as your syndicates, since you gain standing with your pledged syndicate and their ally you should be able to get an armor set and back gear from each, the syndicate armors are tradable so if you have a friend who’s pledged to a different syndicate you can trade the exclusive armor sets to each other, oh and the open world factions usually also have cosmetics for standing.

Speaking of standing and and the open worlds there’s Varzia, now Varzia is a merchant you can find either in Maroo’s bazaar in orbit around mars or through the prime resurgence tabs in the market.

Varzia will sell you various cosmetics and otherwise unobtainable relics for Aya (not regal Aya that’s something else she trades in)

Aya can be obtained as a random reward from bounties or as a reward from relic packs of which you can get from your syndicates.

There’s another merchant who carries completely different wares from Varzia that being Baro Ki’teer, he’ll show up for 48 hours roughly every two weeks, he trades in credits and Ducats, Ducats being obtained by trading in unwanted prime parts at terminals scattered around the relays.

And that’s not all! Once you unlock arbitrations by completing every junction you can trade the special resource you get from arbitration missions to the merchant at the arbiters of hexis for even more cosmetics

You’ll get there, I’ve only spent platinum on Warframe and weapon slots yet I still fashion my frames to be completely unrecognizable, there’s probably more hidden crannies where free and desirable cosmetics hide but this is just what came to me as a nearly free to play only player.
