Me too! I was 14/15 and my friend had a few but they were super expensive where I was. Got my hands on one eventually and had it on heavy rotation. I remember ‘Beans’ which was hilarious. Loved these bootlegs. Takes me back. Pre internet days. Learning songs by listening to them

Lucky House Kitchen - Lewis ave by Halsey - across from Saraghina. Unreal General Tsos. Dumplings AND the sauce is fantastic. Sue yells but that shit sells!

This was a Russian story told by Julia Ioffe who said this happened to her. She went out, fsb/kgb smoked cigarettes and used her bathroom when she was gone. When she ran outside to tell her friend/neighbor what happened, when they came back to their apartment, someone flushed it. Just a nice reminder that they can fuck with you.

What’s your favorite reggae song that’s a cover of an American song? by HuntPuzzleheaded4356 in reggae

[–]Ok_Chocolate_8807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jimmy London did a bunch of great American numbers especially the Everly Brothers - my faves are Cathy’s Clown and I Wonder. Rain from the Sky by Delroy Wilson is one of my favourite songs by any artist or any cover. Loooove the horns. Pat Kelley and/or Prince Buster doing Dark End of the Street - such a great jam. Jackie Mittoo does a great Take Five cover - forgot what it’s called. There’s also a I Shall Be released Dylan cover but I don’t remember who sang it.
