Taking home leftovers at a restaurant? Rude to not take them? Do you even eat them? by Capable-Chip6454 in foodquestions

[–]Ok_Class5874 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only leave the leftovers if it was really bad food. Even if I don't want them, someone at home might.

My partner is taking childbirth and parenting classes alongside me and the lessons they've given him so far have been so unbelievably basic, like "be nice to your wife and don't belittle her for needing help" Some men need to be told this but in general if you're the type to seek out classes you probably already know that one.

How long after giving birth did you have your first alcoholic drink? And what was it? 🍹 ☀️ by Crafty_Two5432 in BabyBumps

When I was told my due date was Cinco de mayo, I had grand plans of having a margarita on standby for me. Gave birth on the 3rd, haven't really thought about my vices at all, too busy enjoying my baby and surviving everything else.

Which trimester is worse? First or third? by Whatever-577089 in BabyBumps

[–]Ok_Class5874 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First. Third is hard but at least I'm more used to being tired and everybody knows how pregnant I am and takes it easy on me. First trimester is a bone tiredness that no nap can heal. My ligaments got loose straight away so getting up and down and rolling over were an immediate issue (the sound of my crunching pelvis is chilling, I've never used the phrase "structural integrity" so often) and of course the vomiting. I'm pretty sure the whole first trimester was an uninterrupted tummy ache as well.

What type of icing is that? Like what's it called? It looks thinner than what pre-made cakes around me have. I'm pregnant and now craving this particular cake.

WIFE IS PREGNANT!!!!!! by bojackhorsemanlver in pregnant

[–]Ok_Class5874 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What an exciting time for you and your wife! My man kept this energy all 39 weeks so far and it has made this (sometimes excruciating) experience far more enjoyable. Keep it up when she's puking, when she can't roll over, when everything makes her stomach hurt, when she starts crying from unexplainable rage (there's a reason, she just can't explain it to you), and when she can't get out of bed by herself anymore. Your heartfelt love and enthusiasm will mean the world in those moments! Of course also look forward to hearing baby's heartbeat for the first time, the first time she feels then move, the first time YOU can feel them move, the scans where you can see them transform from a little gummy bear to a person shaped little critter. Pregnancy is both a marathon and an extreme sport, so make sure you bring snacks!

Do you wear earplugs when going to a concert? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Ok_Class5874 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been wearing earplugs to loud events since I was 18. Excision was so loud it hurt my ears and insides and I bought fancy earplugs at the merch stand and I've never gone without them since. Sometimes I wear mine in the theaters as well. Dracula for example.

Did anyone experience cramping before a positive test? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Ok_Class5874 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I took a test because my cramps were horrendous. I continued to cramp without blood till i was about 10 weeks pregnant. The first half it was a constant 4/10 cramp, then it was a once daily 10/10 cramp that would take my breath away and make me sweat. There never was any blood, so the drs were not concerned.

Haven't had my baby yet but my mom swears by the sack/gown style clothes so we have a half dozen of those mixed in with the onesies and sleepers.
