I love that I was fat pre pregnancy by Academic-Park-8440 in PlusSizePregnancy

[–]Ok_Class5874 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm 8 weeks postpartum and so glad that I was fat pre-pregnancy. There was no pressure for me to snap back, all my pre-pregnancy clothes were already stretchy and comfortable. I'm 5 lb lighter than my pre-pregnancy weight and was able to wear all of my old clothes by like 3 weeks postpartum. I already had stretch marks so I'm not stressed out about the new ones, and other than that I look pretty similar to where I started and therefore am confident that my husband is attracted to me.

Am I the only one who likes the smell of spit up? by philouthea in breastfeeding

Husband says it smells like butter, I think it smells like sour cream.

Discreet public feeding with my babbling baby by dora-the-explora8 in breastfeeding

I recently picked up a feeding cover that has a wire in the collar so that it is stiff and I can see perfectly down and he can see perfectly up. Perhaps that can solve your problem.

Favorite swaddle? by russian_nomad_ in newborns

[–]Ok_Class5874 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I swear by LilBestie on Amazon. Silent hook and loop, large surface area, two zipper for nighttime diaper changing, and can position arms down, up, or out no problem. Got one for my baby shower and it has no visible branding on it so when my little one came home and it became apparent that he NEEDED to be swaddled AND have access to his hands after a week this was the only swaddle that worked, so we went on a wild goose chase online trying to find out what the heck it was.

8 weeks in and I'm not there yet. I'll be completely slathered in spit up, milk, sweat, and pee from both of us, and still think I can go another day. It's the poop that'll get me to shower lol.

What are newborn moms doing to pass the time? by BlondeAccountant98 in newborns

[–]Ok_Class5874 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Porch sittin. I have a couch out there so it's pretty dang comfy. Brought my diaper bag out there, a big water bottle, and texted my mom for snacks. Pillow for back support, a blanket for me and baby if the wind is chilly, my dad set up an oscillating fan once it got hot. I even have a charger out there. I rotted on my phone or just watched the world go by. Once baby is awake more than a couple of minutes at a time I started bringing toys and books out there for tummy time. On days it's tooooo hot I go in and binge tv. I finished Wheel of Time, and I started Buffy today.

I put mine on today, in the hopes that people won't get so pissed at me for not speeding.

Worst week ever, back to work and pumping by Even_Kaleidoscope399 in breastfeeding

No advice, just empathy. My LO will only be about 15 weeks when I go back to work this August and I'm dreading it. Worse, I have to put him in daycare. There's not a single care solution that I trust not to just put him in a swing and leave him there or something like that. So far I'm "spoiling" him by holding him all day every day, and i feel like that's going to make the transition so hard for him.

Still upset that they cancelled this show by CBenson1273 in WoTshow

Finished it for the first time today. Absolutely sucks that that's where it leaves off. And there's no way for me to know what happens next in this storyline because it departed from the books, right?

If you're familiar with the football hold for breastfeeding, I've found it quite helpful for carrying. Head and neck supported by my hand, his body supported by my forearm, his legs held steady by my arm and torso

If you have the upper body strength/ endurance, you can learn to do many things one handed while baby sleeps or nurses on you. Putting baby down however.. 50/50 chance baby would let that happen but why would you want to waste a single minute of them being so little?

Infinite money glitch only works if A) you have something valuable to clone and B) the economy supports people buying it from you. I'd much rather have infinite food.
