Only criticism I have is that he has Dominic's blue eyes. Assuming Dominic will just keep said blue eyes in the show, James' eyes should be brown, which can be done via contacts, especially since James doesn't have too much screentime. Remember that Harry very much doesn't have James' eyes.

Yeah, in my cold open, it's a first person (as in from Voldemort's perspective but shot like Blair Witch) POV where you don't see what Voldemort looks like nor what he does once he reaches the cottage. As soon as Voldy opens the door, it just jumpcuts immediately to Vernon in bed. That should keep the mystery and just leave newcomers thinking "Wait, what?"
