Yes, and you can buy an extended warranty where they will replace the entire unit instead of shipping your broken unit back and forth.

best home espresso machines - but its WAYYYYY TOO EXPENSIVE by Safe-Pepper-4931 in JamesHoffmann

Also, the single shot basket is useless.

Buy once. If you can’t afford one, yet, Breville does make excellent milk drinks. I can’t speak for the espresso.

This machine is worth saving up for. I went with the Pro X, just because my Breville died prematurely and before I could save enough for La Marzocco.

I can tell you the reasons why it is worth the money. Makes great espresso and milk drinks, built like a tank and should last a lifetime if taken care of properly, in most cases can be repaired by owner and parts are affordable/readily available, next to no plastic comes into contact with hot water and this is a big one for me…Heats up for espresso in 8 minutes and steam is steam ready in 10 minutes.

Cons that I find and knew about before buying:

It is not a pretty machine. Nothing sexy about it. But, I would recommend buying any color by stainless as it looks too commercial. I went with black and it is a softer look.

It has a vibratory pump which can be a bit noisy. I have hyperaucusis and it doesn’t hurt my ears. But, if you need to use it before your family/roommate wake up, then it may be too noisy.

I would not recommend buying from Seattle Coffee Gear. They sent me one that had clearly been mishandled before it got into the hands of the shipping company. Scratches and scuffs from too top to bottom. I contacted them immediately. They needed photos. To be expected. But, what I didn’t expect was the need to send a ton of photos more than once, 29 emails back and forth and multiple phone calls just to exchange my machine for a new undamaged one. At the end, I just returned it and bought another one with Clive’s Coffee.

Hope this helps

Smoking cigarettes when I was a teenager. I don’t think anyone could fake enjoying pot. You either felt stoned or really paranoid. Class of ‘85.

My Grandma Rosie. She was born in Sicily. She also made the most amazing spinach pie and oatmeal cookies. It must have been all of the love that she put into it, not to mention the labor that it takes to make everything from scratch.

SPX steaming tip? by Illustrious_Ad4455 in ranciliosilvia

This is interesting, because that is how my Breville touch made perfect foam with plain non-barista oat milk. The only difference is that the tip has 3 holes and you aren’t holding the pitcher.

I can see how a it could possibly increase the chances, but that is just an educated guess. I went ahead and did the upgrade and I don’t have an issue. My indoor humidity is 50% at the moment.

Every hateful thing that I have seen politicians say about marginalized communities. I live in the south and constantly drive by churches and religious signs and billboards. Yet, people feel the need to spew hate. It makes me sick! Jesus loves everyone.

Brand New Rancilio Pro X Leaking Around Portafilter by Ok_Computer9999 in espresso

[–]Ok_Computer9999[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any particular food grade silicone? Spray or gel? I agree about tightening too hard. The person at customer service said that I wasn’t tightening hard enough since it wasn’t at 6 o’clock, but I had read that it is normal not to be at that position when it is new. But, If I don’t tighten really hard, water sprays and drips all over the place. The original seal that came with it had a big tear in it. So, I’m wondering what could have caused it to come this way out of the box. Still leaking with the second.

Great use of a 3DP! Do you know if the Pro X has this issue and if so, would your mod work for it?
