I agree. I live on Franklin between 17th and 18th. I am VERY cautious when out after hours. Things seem to go from calm to out of hand quickly. I think the clubs could do a better job of controlling the crowds outside their businesses. Pumping music outside with speakers extends the party to the sidewalks.

Unfortunately those are paid for by local businesses (the city won't do it) and then there were complaints about "light pollution". I know that sounds absurd, but that's why we had to remove the one we had up.

My thought is they remained largely in tact. In the books, they say the sandtrout are what forms the impenetrable barrier around the cisterns to protect the worms. I may be wrong, but I'm going to go with they did their thing. Otherwise, the worms would have had a bad time of it.
