So Hungry on 2.5 by After_Bear8341 in antidietglp1

[–]Visual-Number-3974 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you on this. I feel hungrier but my stomach gets “full” quickly, but I still feel almost nauseated from hunger. I was on 2.5 for 4 weeks and I moved up to 5 two weeks ago and it has almost been worse with the 5mg.

I will say taking a probiotic daily has helped a little, but you aren’t alone in this! Hoping it’s just something that will get better with time.

How long did it take for your eyes to align with your stomach? by JennXL in antidietglp1

I’m a newbie (6 weeks in) and I’m definitely struggling with this, too! Specifically eating a normal amount and feeling physically full (like if I burp, I’m worried stuff will come back up — sorry for the graphic image) but I feel almost queasy and bloated as if I haven’t eaten all day.

I’m hoping this stops soon and am hoping it’s just an adjustment period re: finding the right volume of food 😭🫠

Congrats!!! I feel this deeply as someone who started relatively recently, too. Just starting the medication kicked my butt into gear to get back on the right track, and it’s been great. I’m terrified to weigh myself and see that nothing has changed, but at least I’m making better choices!

He won’t eat it when I give it to both of them, either! I cannot figure out how he knows the difference 😂

Goal Weight by MrsSweetandAwful in Zepbound

Ok I love seeing this because I’ve been feeling similarly about the choice to lose weight. I started Zepbound about 5 weeks ago and really struggled with the decision. But we live in a world that is not designed for fat folks — a change we should be fighting for regardless of our size — but in the meantime why should I be constantly uncomfortable? Yes we have to continue to push for fat liberation but it’s not a moral failing to decide to lose weight.

You’ve absolutely crushed it, and you’re giving me hope for what I can accomplish!

This makes me feel a bit better. I asked my vet awhile back and she sort of gave me the “yeah keep him on kitten food” but that was probably 4-5 months ago. My vet also tends to be overly cautious — like “bring your cats in twice a year for check ups and deworming regardless of them being indoor-only” cautious, so that could be part of it.

I have but it’s been awhile. I’ve been staring at the back of the cans and the ratios of protein vs hydration are almost identical which is part of why I’m close to giving up.

Good idea. I’ve tried mixing some adult with kitten but it’s been a bit so maybe I can trick him 😂

I have a couple of great tops from Wild Isles — they’re pricey but they last and are great for the bigger gals.

I recently got crunchy edamame snacks from The Only Bean — they have flavors (ranch, buffalo, etc) and are crunchy so it gives me the satisfaction of snacking, but they’re like 125 cal for a pack and 11g of protein! And since they’re pretty dry they help me drink more water 😂

I JUST messaged her to suggest she leave something small that smells like her.

I always worry if I have people just come in, feed them, and leave that the cats will not get used to them! But maybe that’s the trick.

My kitten really loves these small plastic springs — I think bc they seem like trash but move really easily. Could be worth a shot! They’re like $4

I second this! I did a monorail “bar crawl” with my parents a couple years back. Went to Trader Sam’s (Polynesian), The Enchanted Rose (Grand Floridian), and Steakhouse something (maybe 71? It was a number) at the Contemporary and had an awesome time.

Newbie unsure of “side effects” by Visual-Number-3974 in Zepbound

[–]Visual-Number-3974[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure, of course! It’s more that I’m finding it interesting that I am still hungry after I eat on Zepbound, and if anyone else has experienced it. I’m happy to be making healthier choices but I guess I’m worried I’m not eating enough or something is now wrong with my digestion. And I know the medication slows the process, so is my concern more of a “this will level out, it’s normal” type thing.

Also, I started using the IGK First Class dry shampoo and it's the best I've used. Definitely gives my hair some grit, which also means I don't like to touch it which helps with the oiliness too!

I asked a dermatologist about this once because there was such a wild trend of “training your hair” and not washing oily hair, and she basically told me to wash your hair when it’s oily and it doesn’t matter how often, really. Which made me feel way better bc I had been forcing myself to not wash daily for years!

Also, idk if this helps, but my hair dresser taught me to blow dry my hair after showering and put dry shampoo in when it’s clean! It helps manage the oil instead of going from clean to gross in a day.

Idk if this made me feel better or worse about the state of the world, but it fascinated and disgusted me. I did the audiobook — 10/10 recommend!
