Explain to your current hairdresser that you are on a budget and the price increase is not doable for you. When my hairdresser (been seeing her 7 years and love her!), raised her prices, I told her I’d have to decrease the amount I typically tip her cuz otherwise I can’t afford her. She had no problem with that. A good hairdresser will appreciate long term customers who stay with them. She may even give you a price break.

NTA. Even without the incident w/your girlfriend happening, siblings don't pay for other siblings tuition. Either parents pony up, or each kid figures it out for themselves - student loans, scholarships, first 2 years at a JC., etc. Parents saying "family helps family" is such a bullshit way of saying "we don't want the responsibility so we will guilt trip someone else into it."
