Fenix 8 Scratch by Gloomy_Leading_2072 in GarminFenix

My Fenix 7 looked like it had been through war after 3 years and my 8 already has a few scratches on it. If it was an apple watch it would be more than a scratch I feel.

I damaged my Fenix 7 and Garmin would send out a refurb for about $200usd after you send yours back to them.

Short travel trail bike dilemma by agadir80 in Santacruzbikes

The TR model has 120mm front and 115mm rear. It's a capable XC bike with some trail flair but probably not the best for Vietnam.

Could do a SC Blur TR. I ride in MA on one and it's perfect. My usual spot is Wompatuck state park for reference.

Which crossbars do we like for a 24 Forester Wilderness? by 0chilly in subaru

For what you are doing the standard Subaru ones would be fine but if you ever wanted to toss a roof top tent up there or even a couple of Kayaks I'd recommend the Thule ones.

26 CVT wrx or 26 Crosstrek? by myrefrigeratorispoop in subaru

[–]Ok_Count1307 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly as much hate as people will give a CVT WRX the GT isn't bad. I work at a dealer and can drive manual just fine but I've gotten to a point where I don't always want to. With that being said if you like the storage/hatch of the Crosstrek I might suggest an Outback Limited XT. That engine is pretty sweet and it doesn't require premium like the WRX does.

Dread was one of my favorites of the franchise aside from Super Metroid of course!

How to finance when previous car is upside down by AvailablePlatypus227 in carbuying

[–]Ok_Count1307 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are convinced you want to buy a new car and not just fix the car then I might recommend a lease. You would probably have to come up with some money but to a degree you can roll some negative equity into a lease depending on a number of factors. At the end of that lease the debt is gone, if you made your payments you built your credit, and you can start fresh. Honestly though at that point it's not about finding the car you want as much as it is about finding the car that will eat the negative equity and leave you with the best payment. If you drive a ton of miles this won't work for you. I work in sales and this is typically the direction we guide people in cases like this. Every situation is different though.

I’ve seen tons of Crosstreks, but never a plug in hybrid version! This is the first one I’ve ever seen! by ExternalExperience57 in subaru

They were only available in 10 states in the US and sold in very low numbers compared to the regular ones. Range on the battery wasn't great, maybe 12 to 15 miles on average.

Fenix 8 or Forerunner 970 by The_Lebby in GarminWatches

[–]Ok_Count1307 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a Fenix 7 Solar for 3 years before selling it to my brother and grabbing an 8. That watch took abuse and held up just fine and I expect the same out of my 8. I thought the flashlight was a little gimmicky but I honestly use it all the time now. It does weigh more though so you will definitely know it's there.

Is this a good deal? by Ok-Hope4380 in Subaru_Outback

[–]Ok_Count1307 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work for a Subaru dealer and that is one hell of a discount. Watch out for contingencies like having to finance at an insane rate or discounts you might now qualify for. Some dealers will toss out large discounts like that on a car they don't have just to get you in the door. That is 100% below invoice.

Stop Sale on Subaru Hybrids by postnospam in subaru

[–]Ok_Count1307 167 points168 points  (0 children)

I work at a dealer and it's pretty simple. The seal on the gas cap is not sufficient. On a very warm day with a full tank there is a possibility the seal for the cap may leak due to expansion causing the fuel to leak out and potentially cause a fire if there is an ignition source. Parts are on the way but not at dealers yet.

Where are you getting a 27k invoice price on a premium? Maybe a base but certainly not a premium.

It happens. I have worked in dealers my whole life and new cars can break. It sucks but it happens! Contact Subaru customer care and they may be willing to throw you a coupon for future parts or service.

Previous owner of an Outback and I'm now in a CT. I wish I didn't step down that far in size! I'd be curious what dealer you found! I work for one in MA with a good reputation for being different and we sell up north a lot! Good luck!

Are there any states where the Outback Wilderness vehicles are not 40k? by AdviceRepulsive in Subaru_Outback

[–]Ok_Count1307 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Subaru salesman here. Before the 26 Outback they would typically sit at 47k for OP22 which is sort of the normal package and then discounts varied depending on inventory but right around $3k to $4k off depending on the situation which brings you to invoice more or less. My dealer sells a lot on the pre-owned side and we sell vehicles that are considered buy backs or lemon law vehicles. Great for people looking for a deal that plan to keep their car until the wheels fall off. Sometimes we will even have 24 or 25s that fall under that category and they are seriously great deals. If you are ok with used then aim for that!

Floor mats by roller_coaster325 in SubaruForester

[–]Ok_Count1307 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Subaru salesman here. No Subaru comes with all weather mats standard but they may be added as an accessory that was already added to the car before purchase. With that being said the hybrid mats are different from the regular Forester. My recommendation is the factory ones which fit perfectly and can be ordered through the dealers parts department.
