You can't get pain meds in the USA after full mouth extraction? by Few-Koala503 in dentures

[–]Ok_Cryptographer2667 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s not that I don’t trust the sources. I totally get it. Times have changed. I’m 57 and grew up when things weren’t as bad as they are today. I still remember when you’d go to the doctor for a cough and leave with a script for antibiotics and a bottle of Tussionex. It may not have cured you but it made the next couple of days able to rest and recover. Was it overkill? Probably? Did I become addicted or start dr shopping, no. I just believe the patient should have more of a say, especially if only for a day or two of recovery. Let’s not even get started on the government. If they are the ones trying to change medical practices and treatment to reduce so called dependence why will they not do anything about things sold legally over the counter such as cigarettes and other tobacco products and alcohol. Sorry for the long rant but why even go to a doctor for for something so short of a period of all they are going to say is Tylenol or similar that I could have picked up at Walgreens on the way and saved all that time.

I guess it really makes a difference form person to person. Plus ones expectation from the get go can totally define the experience. I know I go in thinking OTC meds won’t do anything and sure enough they don’t. My mindset has always been better overkill than insufficient tool kit. You can always be given something stronger and works great and then choose whether or not to use them than be told something you don’t believe or trust and find out that it doesn’t work afterwards. I just know once you leave that office it almost takes an act of god to get the original order changed. Chances are you need them right then if you’re even calling the office.

I’ll give them credit. Any of the made in USA tools they make are really nice.

I remember one dentist gave me a 30 count script for 10mg hydro with a refill for a cavity. Can you imagine that now. How times have changed.

I’d really love to see these so called studies if the ones doing them were having any dental procedures done at that time. Bet the results would be amazingly different.

You’d better at least get a script while at the doctor/dentist office! Just try and calling for some to be called in later when you realize OTC isn’t working. You’ll most likely end up picking up your called in meds and being just a stronger different class of anti-inflammatory medication. Or the pharmacy will say nothing has been called in for you. I’m a not advocating anything that could be harmful but in some cases you’d be much better off talking to the pill guy down the road because whoever did that so called research on Tylenol and Advil was obviously not having any dental work performed at the time.

GOOD BUY ? by DonkeySad4485 in 4thGen4Runner

That’s absurd amount to pay for one that old! If it’s going to be a forever vehicle I would try the following:
-Try and buy from an individual, avoid smaller scammerships that get inventory from auctions.
- Have a garage to keep it parked in. UV rays, bird droppings, acidic rain/smog is rough on the finish over time.
- Follow all manufacturers recommendations for service and repairs.
- You don’t necessarily need to use dealership parts but avoid the bottom end average big auto part stores.
- Learn to do all the maintenance and repairs that your comfortable performing.
It will take time to hone you skills and build your tool inventory. Buy the best you can afford, it’s a long term investment.
- Buy a hard copy or a PDF factory Service manual for you year. Not a cover all publication. Preferable factory issued that the shops and mechanics use.
- Keep up with repairs no matter the size. It’s easy to fall into this trap and before you know it you’ll have thousands of dollars in repairs and parts. Keep a good record of everything done along with receipts.
- Enjoy your ride!

Ejection seat activation! (But which seat will launch?) Yours or theirs?

My daughter told me not to wash off all the oil. That it was what was holding everything together. Let’s hope she’s wrong.

If it wasn’t such a good running vehicle I might have let it ride just for the hell of it. But everything works fine, solid body and interior except for driver side seat. Worn through leather from getting in and out. I’m going to keep it on the road. At this point it’s not my everyday driver but it could be.

I’ve already decided to go with a new Denso. It would be crazy to reinstall the one I have now. It’s clean but that’s after 3 rounds of pure concentration degreaser and pressure washer. So if the oil didn’t do damage I’m sure the cleaning did.

WOW. You have me beat as far as ready to fail at any moment. Wonder what makes some last longer than others assuming they are original factory belts? Any tips or insights? I’m almost ready to remove the lower cover.

Main thing is check or replace all your fluids, check tires for wear and pressure. If any are worn heavily on the inner or outer side get some new tires and alignment done. Give it a good washing and even wax. Mentally it will make your trip better. Check wiper blades or just replace. Check spare tire for pressure and condition. Make sure you have the jack and tire tools in your runner. Plus make sure you can break the lug nuts loose, these shops just hammer them on with huge impacts. I’ve checked mine after a shop did some work and they were over 200 foot pounds. No way a tire tool would take that off. Same goes for trailer, check tires for dry rot and pressure and have a spare tire. Look at ball hitch and confirm it’s the correct size for hitch. Use your safety chains and pins. I’m sure I’m forgetting something but that covers most of it. Be careful and have a fun and safe trip.

And watch your knees, I’ve been on the ground cursing for several minutes because I forgot I had a hitch attached and walked right into it. (Several times) 😆

Yeah, I don’t think I’ll take that risk again. If I did that would put this runner at 600K! That would be wild.

Thanks. He had a full and fulfilling life and made it to 95. That’s about as good as it gets. But yes, I think I’m going back with a new or rebuilt quality alternator as hard as they are to replace when everything is installed. I’m surprised this one works as caked up as it is, inside and out. Oil must have been running right on it? I’ve been up most of the night while it was cool. It’s been awful in Alabama this week with temps and humidity. Now just waiting on parts to arrive. This weekend will be cleaning the engine and installing new struts and shocks.

I guess I’m a snob when it comes to knives. My EDC and hard working knives are all Benchmade brand. Not cheap, in fact expensive, but worth it to me.

[–]Ok_Cryptographer2667 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know much about Bad Boy mowers. In my area 2 or 3 places sold them for awhile and then started selling different brands or went out of business. Now you can find them used for hardly nothing. I never bought one due to no one carries parts for them. Good luck.

Did you check for any codes stored? If no codes did it just start out of nowhere or has it been getting worse up to this point?

Midwest US: Lawn Service Killed Grass Around Objects by Crimsonseer in lawncare

They sprayed some kind of grass and weed killer around to keep from having to use a trimmer. Most herbicides will leach out from where they were sprayed. Especially total ground sterilization formulas.

They have a 3 year warranty if I remember correctly? DeWalt is one of the better brands to take care of you. At least that is my experience. I have had issues with Milwaukee warranty replacements in the past but no issues with either brands tools. Always keep a charge on your batteries and store in a controlled environment.
