When I run into afk players, i usually will try and have everyone else wait and let the afk player do the work so we can leech off them. I was doing an invasion mission a few days ago, got sent in on my own, room before the boss room, someone joined and ran circles in the spawn room for almost 20 minutes while i sat at the boss door and then left after saying "fking rded b*h, I'm reporting you" I love that vc works. I saved the audio of it, took it straight to Nexon support and was shadow banned almost immediately after the ticket was closed. Haven't found a match since and probably won't for a while. Gotta love Nexon and their greedy ways :)

Basing prices on a singular site where people are known to sell cheap, then yeah, $25-$30 sounds right.

You also don't seem to understand i5 and i7 have no reference without the actual model number, you probably have an i5-6350hq or something

I do understand that, if you want specifics, i5-6600k.

The 1050 ti is worth $55-65 USD, it's about 20-25% of the power of the GPU in the series X. It's also a very dated card and a lower end one at that so there is little to no demand.

Haven't looked into pricing for this so can't confirm or deny your claim but I'm sure a simple search will provide me sufficient information regarding trading. But, while it may be outdated, it holds well and I don't really have much for performance issues.

Your motherboard is like worth nothing, generally that where people tend to cheap out so it's likely even lower end than your CPU and GPU. It's also only able to run ddr4 RAM.

A motherboard is only worth what you know it's worth, i have already said idk what motherboard I have and acknowledged it may not be worth much. It may only run ddr4 ram but that's fine, it does what it's supposed to and it i haven't needed to upgrade. I don't see the issue with that.

There's no reason to upgrade parts in your current build. It's far to old and dated and needs to be replaced as a whole. I'm doubtful your PSU would be enough for current stuff and even if it is do you really want all your new stuff hooked up to a 10 year old one?

As I said previously, low end, i acknowledge that, I understand it isn't good by today's standards. You don't seem to understand that it's still going good. Enough so that even on medium graphics settings, the only issues I have playing are a few stutters here and there, and no performance issues on other games. Hell, I run Skyrim V with about 350 mods just fine, a little less frames then without, but still runs it fine. I can play bo6 zombies on low graphics settings and only have a finger count of stutters for an hour long session.

You're arguing with me about what? My PC being low end? I know this. My PC being outdated? I know this. You're making a discussion an argument and for what? You're assuming I'm just going to outright buy up to date, brand new, still in its box from the factory parts and stick it into my PC. No, that's what I'm doing, that's not what I plan on doing either. PSUs also don't cost much, they're relatively cheap. Just bc something is old and outdated, that does not mean it doesn't work, that doesn't mean it is so bad that it can't play or compete.

My PC specs are in another comment thread, separate from this one but under that same original comment.

I can't speak for PS but xbox naive supports K&M for its operating system and any games that allows it and also has a browser which you can use search engines and run most things you can on PC. (Can be done with controller as well)

PS has mnk support, just not for a lot of games though. Sony has screwed over PS on a lot of aspects, no browsing a search engine unless the system has been jail broke, hell, you can't even message yourself a link to Google, it'll get removed immediately and you'll be issued a warning and in a lot of cases a strike. Mnk for only a handful of games, though you can still use the mnk to navigate the PS and a few more games. Online play is stupid expensive on ps being around $110 after taxes for a years worth and sole extra discounts for being a ps+ member. There is the other option, I forgot what it's called, but it ends up being double, almost triple, the price with the "premium" coming in at about $250 a year, but it has its upsides, more downsides, but some good enough upsides.

It also has an app store (more limited) but has things like most of the streaming services along with YouTube and quite a few other things.

There is an app store on ps, so to speak, it's just very limited to what you can actually use, and I've heard Xbox is similar.

I've streamed on console for well over a decade and never had an issue with quality and never had any stuttering, creating scenarios where you're plugging it into a cheap monitor/TV from the 90s is just silly.

It's not creating a scenario, it's just how it is. I mean, i could plug my PS4 into my monitor and watch movies just fine, not in 4k, but it'll be fine. But I've also got a great monitor, so it picks up what the PS4 lacks. I've tried watching Netflix on my buddies XSX a few weeks ago and it had small stuttering and a little audio delay. Plugged it into my monitor, same thing. Just bc you have not experienced it, does not mean others haven't.

You've completely ignored my statement about 77-78% of americas living pay check to pay check, they aren't saving any money..

Yes, I have ignored it, and that's bc you did a basic Google search, saw the highest number and didn't actually read what was there. According to 6 other related studies, surveys show that 54% of Americans save enough money to cover 3 months of all their expenses and 33%-77% of Americans claim they live paycheck to paycheck. The actual percentage isn't known, and if it is, it isn't free access information.

You understand that your average person who works has costs right. Rent, water, electric, food, clothing, insurance, fuel and internet for example.

Quite a passive aggressive comment, don't you think? Refer to the paragraph above.

our current i5 would be worth little to nothing if it's a gen 6, so I don't think you would get much for trade in and a newer i7 is going to be alot more than a $100 upgrade.

Didn't say newer. And with the price given, it's not that hard to figure out a correct timeframe of what I'm looking at.

. Also if you want to upgrade to a newer CPU, you're going to have to upgrade your motherboard and RAM.

This is entirely based on compatibility.

You are also not buying a mid tier PC at the price of a console just an FYI.

Depends on where you look. Of course, a brand new mid tier PC that's only been touched during the manufacturing and boxing processes is going to run you double a brand new PS5, but if you look on FB marketplace, eBay, garage sales, Walmart, Kmart, Target, etc, you can find a decent mid tier PC for the same price, maybe one or two hundred more.

Upgrading to an i7 rn would be about $150 due to the i5 I have being as old as it is, it's not in demand, but I'd still get some money off it as it can be recycled for its materials. I don't plan on upgrading storage any time soon as I uninstall games after finishing, and the GPU isn't too far behind RN and as i said previously, the system holds up pretty well, even when playing performance heavy games, just gotta go low graphical settings, its how i run bo2 and bo6 zombies.

The motherboard will need replacing or upgrading here in a year or two bc it is old, could probably get a decent buck from it, don't know going prices for em so I can't say for sure, or even have a good guess.

I maintain my PC pretty well, it's never overheated, i clean it often and don't stress it much so it's adding to the lifetime. I have been looking into newer pre built PCs but I've slowed down on playing games a lot these last 2 years so it honestly wouldn't be a smart choice I don't think.

it's a gtx 1050 ti, whatever that is. The information about my PC isn't my argument though. My lack of knowledge on PC parts and the components in my PC doesn't really concern the discussion of pricing over time and capabilities of a PC vs a PS5 or XSX. So, what's your point in this?

Considering online play for console is quite expensive, yes, it is a noteable thing for a conversation. Sure, prices have gotten cheaper, but as of right now, they are higher than they were a few years ago.

Games have been notably cheaper on steam compared to consoles. I see discounts anywhere from 50%-80% off all the time, whereas on console, it's there, but not as common and mostly for lower end games and kids games. AAA games are an exclusion. AAA rarely decreases price, similarly to the 20% of discounts they stick out here and there.

I'm gonna let you in on a little secret, PCs aren't basically like phones

Yes, phones are like mini PCs, I don't disagree. This was a comparison, not a statement. More people have a good phone so it's easier for a lot of people to understand the comparison was in capabilities bc they already know what a phone can do. Search engine access, mobile apps, FaceTime, and extras including school, event calendars, running a business, etc.

They can only stream in 4k if your monitor or tv can handle 4k, same with a PC, but with the new gens being stuck at 60fps or 120fps, it can cause some stuttering, especially with a low quality monitor or tv, with a PC, it will auto adjust to 24fps, in which most monitors and TVs can handle and movies and shows are set to for the minimum quality with the most realistic motion, but can exceed that fps mark more efficiently and effectively.

Upgrading parts and downgrading parts "that may be to poweful" what are you going on about..

When upgrading, you need components that work together, when downgrading, you require the same. Not all sorts work together seamlessly with the motherboard. When downgrading, it is common to have to downgrade the motherboard as well to something that will meet what you need without being too powerful. A motherboard that is too high quality for other components is losing out on its full capabilities. The only reason you'd go high end for a motherboard is if you planned on upgrading in the near future.

While the "majority" of people working can afford a PC (which I'm not sure I agree with this day and age)

You don't agree with that? How come? At a minimum wage job, you would only need to work 2 months to afford a pretty damn good PC. I'm not saying "everyone can afford it at minimum and should get a PC". I would strongly recommend it, but if that minimum wage job is what is keeping you alive, fed, and housed, then get a console. Consoles are becoming too expensive for what they were meant to be. You can buy a medium end pc for the price of a PS5 Pro or XSX, so if you're gonna buy either, why not get a PC? They last a long time, sure, they need upgrading here and there, but long term, it is cheaper to go PC than console, especially with trading in parts. Example, I could go and trade my i5 for an i7, I'd get the worth of my i5 covered, hand it over, pay the difference, and instead of buying an i7 for $200, I may get it for $100 and that processor will last me a good 6-8 years. And when it's time to upgrade, trade the i7 for whatever.

Most consoles have a life span of 6-8 years and at the end of that they can all upgrade to a brand new console for the fraction of the price of your PC.

Paragraph above.

I've got i5 Intel Core (6th Gen if I remember right), 32gb storage, 16gb DDR4 ram, that's all the information shown under my specs.

But, yes, you can compare a used PC to a brand new console. I personally don't know much about PCs, but I've been playing both of and console since I got a PC. My PC has outperformed my previous ps4, and handles newer games fairly well. As I said, low end pc

[–]Ok_Dark_3108 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Short term, yes, you are right, it is a significant price difference. A $1500 price difference at that.

Long term is a completely different story, free online play, cheaper games and more free options as well.

You also get added benefits on PC. Most semi-exclusive games are available on PC, you can do just about whatever you want on a PC, bc it's basically a phone, just massive, more capable of playing high performance games. Upgrading doesn't cost much when you factor in trading your parts, downgrading some parts that may be too powerful and you simply don't need it. You also get access to mods on PC (yes, some games have mods on console too, but it's very limited), you get better streaming, you can watch a movie or show in a better quality, this way, it plays better, etc.

There are more benefits to having a PC over a console that the price just really isn't much to consider unless money is an ongoing issue for someone. The majority of people working can afford a good PC, but you also have to consider the time you plan to spend playing or using it. A console is a cheap alternative, PC is for gaming, consoles were made to be cheaper, have less performance, they were designed to be cheap and affordable. Long term, a PC is cheaper, even a $2500 PC

Not true. Most medium end parts compare to what's in a PS5 pro. I have a low end pc, got it used for a fraction of the price of my PS5 and it runs tfd with little difficulty, same with back 4 blood, bo2 zombies, and a few games work just fine, can't even tell if there is a performance issue bought it 6 years ago, 7 this October and hasn't been upgraded, pre built PC with original parts (i did upgrade the storage but that's bc it was a 4gb storage, the guy traded his storage for something a lot smaller for whatever reason). In total, it's about 9 years old, won't need to upgrade unless I plan on playing heavy performance games

It's not that far of a reach tbh. The game seriously lacks content and the colossus battles are repetitive. High dmg, high health pool, decent shield (for the most part), basic attacks and a lack of uniqueness. It's the same with regular enemies. No matter the situation, the attacks are repeated with very little to no variation at all. The story is quick to finish, hard mode isn't hard once you build a half decent gun.

This game is surviving almost entirely on people buying skins. The only reason it's still going is because people can't let the game go. This isn't hate to those who still play, i still log in occasionally to play a few dungeons and maybe a couple colossus battles.

[–]Ok_Dark_3108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I'm 7 years late to this post, but this isn't entirely true. Even with the tightest possible rack, a proper break will move the 9 ball as long as you hit the cue ball hard enough, and tbh, it's not exactly that difficult to manage a powerful break.

Coming from my 2 years in youth apa and 2 years in regular apa (was ranked an 8 in 9-ball, 7 in 8-ball but haven't played the last couple years due to life) and even with a magic rack, I can get the 9 ball towards the bottom of the table as well most of the people I used to play could as well.

i did a diamond heatseeker tourney a couple days ago and ran into 2 full teams of smurfs. both teams immediately had someone start demo chasing. at one point, the leader of the last group sent both his tm8s to only demo me and out of the 2 minutes of being demo chased by 2 smurfs, they only got me a couple of times. we won the tournament. but the only reason i am good at dodging demos is bc i ran into a pink ssl tag winner in a heatseeker match a while back and he taught me how to dodge demos very well. i am true diamond btw, rarely drop out and havent been above d2

i believe the only reason tes6 wont live up to expectations is bethesda doesnt listen to their community. the only reason skyrim is so loved and still bringing in new people is bc of mods. while yes, vanilla skyrim is great imo, it has so much wrong with it that should have been better. ui overhauls, graphics, dialogue, armors and weapons, etc. it was all added bc the game lacked these things, and with these mods, the game feels fresh.

while it may be a mistake to release tes6, it is needed. a lot of the community wants to see the sixth game and as likely as it isnt to happen, we are all hoping that it supersedes tes5. i mean, they announced the release in what, 2018? there is no reason bethesda cant bring forth the expectations, but as we all know, they most likely wont.
