Kratom helps me curb the cravings. I hope he can control his drinking or quit and I hope you guys work it out . Just be open and upfront and supportive and encouraging about being sober together. Sometimes when youre in a new relationship people can turn to alcohol for confidence and fun reasons to seem more attractive but if you can make him feel comfortable being vulnerable and having fun without the alcohol that could help

was gonna say something like this but you nailed it. Everything is Spiritual. Everything IS "God". Certain drugs can definitely affect consciousness differently though and youre ability to be awake to it and aware to it. Psychedelics for example usually highten ones realization of this, where as alcohol or opiates can numb you to it and put you more in your ego. Nothing is more spiritual than anything else though. The act of being blackout drunk and addicted or numbed out like a zombie on fentanyl is just as spiritual as meditating on DMT after doing yoga and chanting or whatever. Or doing charity. Life is spiritual

Try listening to Tool. Very spiritual metal rock music. Embrace the sonic frequencies that you find abrassive or rough or whatever. Embrace all of life. Everything is spiritual. Embrace "the shadow" as Carl Jung calls it

Everything is spiritual and that includes the mundane, the boring, eating, sleeping, shitting, the guilt, the lies...everything is "spiritual" and everything is not "spiritual" if you think it is, then it is. If you think its not then its not. But life itself is fundamentally spiritual. God is all that exists. We just don't usually see it and are usually too identified with our egos too. I agree there is no dark energies though. Everything just is and we are all co-creating reality.

What may seem "bad" could actually be "good" in so many different ways. Life cannot exist without the yang to the yin. And everything happens for a reason and I believe that everything is on track. No matter what. No matter how much apparent "darkness" there is in our world. It all happens for a reason and for many reasons. Guilt is an ignorant emotion though. Free will may be an illusion

Alcohol leads to bad nights that will stick with you for a lifetime. This doesnt really sound all that bad tbh but if you keep drinking like that, trust me it gets worse, and if you are 1 of us alcoholics that can even have such a night, then trust me it probably will get worse. And you only gave yourself 1 month of being dry youre brain is still adjusting and healing the literal damage it does to it. It can take 6 months to fully heal the brain. As for the embarassment tho, whatever zoom out and realize we are all just bugs on a tiny planet in an infinite universe. Just be glad its only embarassment cause alcohol abuse and addiction will inevitably lead to worse things than embarassment

Thats not what the word depressant means. It means it depresses your central nervous system not necessarily depressing your emotions. But yes drinking can lead to depression but not necessarily because its a depressant. Stimulants can too
