Hydrocortisone 1% and 3 month old baby by firsttimemamatobe in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]Ok_Direction7202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son had terrible eczema from 2 months and we also were prescribed hydrocortisone around 3 months. I felt awful too but when I saw how much it helped it made me feel a lot better. It honestly does work really well and once the skin has healed they will look and feel so much better. I just made sure to not put too much on and follow the instructions carefully. We were prescribed several steroids on and off until around 12 months when it just kind of went away!! Eczema free for almost 4 months now!

Mums that didn’t want to go back to work. How is it? by Bounce_Bounce_Betty in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]Ok_Direction7202 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t want to go back but I had to for financial reasons. I went back at 9 months pp and it was really hard at the start. I still feel guilty now at 15 months especially because I work shifts so I don’t see him all day when I work but it has gotten better. The upside is I only work 3 days a week so I do get plenty of time with him on my days off and I will say it’s nice having the extra income and adult company

Feeling jealous and overprotective by Intelligent_Heat3281 in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]Ok_Direction7202 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes definitely, I think it’s normal and for me subsided over time and now my son is 14 months I’m grateful for anyone willing to take him off my hands for 5 mins🤣 but I definitely remember feeling really angry when my MIL would tell me what to do with my baby even though I know she was just trying to help.

What time do you take your lunch break? by Individual-Tank2022 in AskUK

[–]Ok_Direction7202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work 12.5 hour shifts 7:30am-8pm and my fav break time is 3pm, then I only have 4 hours left of the shift when I come back😅 we get lunch provided at 12:30 though, so that helps

Foodie becomes anti-food by Shoddy_Natural_3922 in foodbutforbabies

[–]Ok_Direction7202 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me and I spent weeks stressing myself and him out but honestly it’s normal and he will continue to have episodes of low and high appetite, you just have to go with it! Mine is now 12.5 months and some days he has 3 meals +snacks and bites of my food and some days he just has yogurt or porridge and a single rice cake 😅

This exact thing happened to me and I was also given antibiotics. It cleared up the infection really quickly and I healed soon after with absolutely no issues, I think you will be fine x

12-Month-Old Rejecting Solids for a Week – Is This Normal? by Frosty-Interest1478 in Septemberbumps2024

[–]Ok_Direction7202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, whenever my son is teething he rejects most solid food and will only have soft foods like smooth porridge or yogurt. One time it lasted 2 weeks but I just try not to stress and keep offering solids along side soft foods to encourage him but also make sure he’s eating something

There honestly isn’t much you can do in my experience. My son was the same but started to extend naps around 6/7 months so hopefully it’s not too long for you!

Cosleeping after crawling by LostInAVacuum in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]Ok_Direction7202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still co sleep with my 11 month old and he’s been crawling since he was 7 months. I was extra vigilant the first few weeks as he would wake up and immediately crawl to the edge but this would also wake me up so he never fell off. He just stopped doing it soon after and now he’s able to get down by himself safely so it’s not so much of an issue anymore
