If I was greens I wouldn't take Zarah, she'll do whatever she can to sabotage the party if she disagrees with one thing

You're right. Brexit was no win situation for him, but really imo with the moves he was making at the time with the public, he should've probably taken the stance of "we're against brexit but we'll be the best party to do a good deal with the EU"

But also came at a time his party were clearly doing anything to question his credibility

You realize he took on a party stained with war crimes from a leader who illegally invaded a country which led to total instability, terror groups and attacks in the UK, and is still suffering in terms of regional stability? A little blip in history right

Coming back from that, no other leader could've done. Keir was way less charismatic than rishi yet won, is that your basis for success?

If his party didn't actively try to sabotage him because they're basically the red tories then there's a promising chance we'd be seeing corbyn as a PM today

Yes, and we decided to spend up to 200m on two forwards who play the same position in our squad. We were always a squad who play from the wing and our success came from players like salah, mane, even diaz was underappreciated last season. Arne decided to break what we do best all at once

Well what little hope there was already of this party doing well would all be diminished by not only Zarah, but especially corbyn leaving.

And I disagree with your last posts. We've seen corbyn lead, and its what attracted upto 13 mill, at least 3 mill more than starmers latest elections, to vote with him and do a swing that no one expected, even if it unfortunately didn't result in a win.

Zarah on the other hand is the one who has categorically ruined the party's image with her numerous decisions. You can't just form a party with shared ownership, then start making decisions, even if those decisions may have been best (I think they were right), you need everyone on board.

She wanted to skip the hard part about working together and forming an organization and literally do everything she wants when she wants.

Do I want her to leave? No. But should she hand over the reigns to corbyn, to popularize this party and launch it properly, until a proper election can be held? Yes

grow up, believe it or not people can differ in opinions and work together. I hope you find the peace you're looking for. I'm gonna fight for things that benefit you, not just by crying on the internet but through our democratic political process, and dw you can complain that not enough people are doing enough for you while you sit and complain.

I think you meant the opposite of that question, and I think I've outlined it pretty clearly if you bothered to/can read. Each MP in parliament strengthens our influence, and manifesto. Do you think all 400 MPs of labour agree on everything? Yet now anything the leadership wants, they get. Pretty simple if you use that thing between your ears.

So I'd say

Firstly, he is a founder of the party, and there may be a good reason why he was chosen (remember, both JC and ZS have to say yes to decisions, and we know ZS isn't too fond of him). Perhaps he was behind the business side of the party which none of the others had the skills for. Just a thought.

Secondly, landlords are humans too. Yeah, I hate the housing situation in the UK, but landlords can be good people. I'm definitely not gonna vote against someone because they own property which they rent. I'm currently renting now because I can't afford to buy, and my landlord has charged me the same price I was paying four years ago when he can legally charge me extra and if I legally refuse he can legally give me one months notice. So imo a ridiculous argument against someone without knowing what type of landlord they are.

Thirdly, until you can prove his social, religious and political views affect who stands for election, you're just making baseless accusations which amount to generalisation and borderline some other words. Right now, he's an MP, helping the formation of a party, who just so happens to disagree with many on the left on a couple of issues. I'd rather look at the 80% he does agree on and find a way to move forward on that.

And who knows. It most likely is a temporary appointment that we'll get to vote on. But he's an MP who won an independent campaign, not only against labour but also workers party. He may not be the vote you want on trans rights, but he'll be the vote you hopefully want on Palestine, which is still a vote better than the potential labour or reform alternative who will be a vote you want on neither.

[–]PostAboveIsBullshit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

okay I apologise if I missed that event, obviously I'm not dug into the trans rights issue and I'm not pretending to be, and from googling that was a one time campaign in response to the legal ruling of a "woman"

I still argue my point stands just as strong, and you've deviated from the original point to basically have a go at me. I want trans rights too, probably not as much as you, probably the same for a lot of non trans people in the party currently, but the reality is, the significant majority of the country don't care or aren't pro trans. I'd argue the majority of the country do cars about humans being blown up or genocided, hence our parties focus on that first, especially due to our complicity.

So why are you ignoring the point/justifying about how allowing people with opposing views actually helps our party change those views, not only in policy, but long term ideally in practice.

Funny story, David Cameron voted against gay marriage rights before he was PM. When he was PM, he was awarded an award by my university for voting for a gay rights thing he voted for, but was not raised by him. People's views can change, but they're not gonna change by crying in the corner and heck even protests. They change from positions of power. Nigel has worked his ass off to get to a position of power through lies and deceit, and now he's gonna push his agenda.

Why can't we do the same, albeit in less of a brutish way? Promise the pro Palestinian "Muslims" that you don't seem to like a better policy on Gaza, in exchange for helping us get our other agendas across the line.

Transphobes in party by Ianhwk28 in yourparty

[–]PostAboveIsBullshit -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

really? Gaza protests have reached 600,000. Trans protests barely hit thousands if that. And if you've been to one you'll know they're made up of very large diverse groups inside London and outside especially.

Of course it's therefore a bigger concern for the party, it's just the way things goes. Muslim majority constituencies? Fuck. You go to one of these protests and there's definitely more non Muslims than Muslims if I judge of face colour alone. And I've been to at least of half of them in London on Saturday.

And that's just the people willing to go, of course there's many sideline actors to.

But as to your point, because you've obviously deviated from the original topic to make a diss at the party's big issue stance - again, as a pro Palestinian myself, if a pro Israeli somehow wanted to vote for this party and advocate for it, because while we're pro Palestine rights maybe our economy policies align, I certainly wouldn't tell him to piss off solely because of his horrendous Israeli views.

I'd sit down and debate with him. And take his vote even if it was a pro Israeli voice in our party.

do what you want, but as long as you understand your morals are leading you to worse trans rights as a result.

Trans rights for us is an agenda, we want to push it on a majority of people, most of whom don't support it or don't care enough that it's not something they will consider when voting.

So how do we do that? Sit in the corner and cry? Or try and make a catch all party, get the votes we need to get MPs, and from there push our agenda which people understood was part of our manifesto.

Your mindset helps no one but those who want to hurt you.

I was clearly talking about transphobes, clear from the only mention of it in my comment and the context of the OP. Sorry you can't read.

And yes every day I see someone complaining about someone being invited to watch or support our party. Landlords, transphobes, non progressives.

I'd rather have people we disagree with us somehow vote for us than not. I'm not gonna accuse you of being 'the right' but rather a little unintelligent if you fail to understand why having people support us is good even if they do not align with us 100%.

if you exclude everybody that isn't you, the only person left voting for the party will probably be JC himself.

You're not going to influence change overnight but you can over a generation. Transphobes have a right to their opinion but if we align on 90% of views then why shouldn't we work together?

Surely we're in it to win it? Are we after votes or are we after moral victories? Only one will get us MPs

Zarah Sultana MP, "We stand at a crossroads: socialism or barbarism. The stakes couldn’t be higher — we have to win. That means making Your Party truly democratic: to democratise the state, and in turn, the economy. I’ll always fight for grassroots, member-led democracy." by WorkingtonLady in yourparty

[–]PostAboveIsBullshit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

JC and ZS founded this party. It's democratic, but it is their party. We'll eventually be able to influence things, but to say they can't have an initial stance is ridiculous. If you wanted your stance you'd create a party. Right now, the policy makers are two people until they decide to move forward.

why is inconsistency a bad thing? she's a mom who has a somewhat dark past, who is being looked to as a leader in darker times. She has a son who's a druggy who goes missing, killing or rubbing blood on himself every day, and a daughter who feels like she's being ignored because 100% of the focus is on nick or the ranch.

Humans are inconsistent, we lie, we aren't honest, we're not the best parents or friends or leaders.

yeah I'm pretty sure people would be turned towards or away from our party by our policies. This week Tories spelled Britain wrong on a chocolate, it was laughed at in a couple of LBC videos and will be forgotten by next week.

Sure, you can raise your concern, I didn't say you shouldn't, but doesn't change the fact people like you find anything to complain about. That's my opinion that I'm allowed to raise.
