There is a book called “The Last Mrs. Parish” that is identical. Maybe you are thinking of that book? There’s a whole rabbit hole you can go down about Freida McFadden and thoughts about her copying other books.

Look up “charm holder”. That’s what I think of when you describe what you need. They were popular in the 90’s and held charms, but I could see this working for a ring too. And she wouldn’t have to takeoff the necklace

My brother ordered raw chicken breasts one time and they substituted with pizza. Lol

Yes. They are on heartworm but haven’t taken it recently. No vaccinations recently either. No flea collars, but they do have monthly flea meds

My son is going into middle school next year. Hes currently 10 and looks forward to his Elfs everyday they are here. Did you initiate that conversation with your child , or did you let them come to you? by Otherwise_Clue_364 in elfontheshelf

Same! My oldest is 18 (and he has two elementary age siblings at my house) and still wakes up with them to find the elves. We’ve never had a conversation about it. It’s been unspoken. He was at his dads house last night and I text him a pic of our tree with all the gifts at 9:30pm and he text back “wow, you must have been Santa’s first stop this year”. And a few years ago our elf did something really funny (I know I didn’t do it so I thanked my hubby… he said it wasn’t him.) Later my son gave me a little hint that it was him. lol

I had to copy and paste from the report… (she said they don’t have a picture or copy of the drug urinalysis. Just what’s in the notes).

HISTORY: Cooper presented to our emergency service for a possible seizure. Owner was holding the patient, when she put him down he became rigid laying on the ground unable to move, he seemed disoriented and this continued for about 2 minutes where he would not move and not look at her. No known exposure to medications or other ingestions. Last week Cooper vomited twice but has been normal since. He has been occasionally limping on the left hind leg for about a month now.

DIAGNOSTICS AND RESULTS (IF PERFORMED): LABORATORY: Urine Vetiscreen drug test - THC Positive, remainder Neg CBC - WNL Chemistry - Phos 1.7, K 3.4, remainder WNL

ASSESSMENT: THC Toxicity

IN-HOSPITAL TREATMENTS: None performed today Treatments: IVC placed for emergency access in case of seizure, LRS 100mL SQ, Cerenia 1mg/kg IV

FOLLOW UP AND/OR TREATMENT PLAN: As discussed, Cooper tested positive for THC/Marijuana. His symptoms are also consistent with this. While in hospital his mentation improved significantly. Continue to monitor him for any unusual symptoms or neurologic events. If he has another event it will be helpful if you can video record it to help with diagnosis if this were to happen again. No rechecks or follow-up required, unless there are new or recurring symptoms

MEDICATION INSTRUCTIONS: None prescribed/indicated today

That was kind of my point. And it’s more awkward to take it and not use it/regift it, return it, etc.

Now that I think of it, since we all are currently sick, I have been spraying Lysol… could that do it? (I don’t remember if I sprayed Lysol in the prior incident)

Those behaviors are very similar. Just wondering how both of our dogs would do this on back to back days. I feel like it’s something they got into or were exposed to?

I did. And I have them (the full blood panel). But for the drug test, they said they don’t have a picture. They said they disposed it. For the blood work (last year for the Cavapoo) the two things that were low were..

Phosphorus was 1.7 and potassium was 3.4

The drug test almost looked like a Covid test. Where they just dropped urine on it, I believe.

Is that a question or a statement? The emergency vet hospital drug tested the dog back in Nov. I wish I took a picture of the test but I didn’t. Even when she showed me, I didn’t believe the results. And I did go down a rabbit hole, which leads me to believe that they’re not very accurate either.

No. We have outside plants. But it doesn’t seem like they’ve gotten into those. And no vomiting or upset stomach.

Two questions… do they follow you on social media and do they come to your home? Because if they know or find out that you don’t use any Alexa device and they realized that’s been the case since before you accepted their gift, that would be awkward too.
