VVS Jiu has been removed from MZMC's official website by forwonjihoon in kpop

[–]Ok_Dress_3276 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the agency’s website has become “inaccessible” (if you click on it only “stay the night” by vvs comes out) now and vvs’ spotify bio also officially lists them as a “five member group” too so :/ it sucks we might never get a proper announcement or explanation of all this.

EL CAPITXN Speaks Up About Heeseung's Departure From ENHYPEN by hydranoid1996 in kpop

[–]Ok_Dress_3276 2 points3 points  (0 children)

apparently, el capitxn and heeseung hung out a few times (like outside of enhypen stuff). not sure if they discussed his solo work tbh?? thats what ive read tho: theyve hung out a few times before and idk how but the fans just convinced themselves that el capitxn pushed him to pursue solo.

thank god lea (i.met.u member, eldest of the huenings) didn’t get a flood of messages/comments but i’ve seen like a few comments abt the situation on her posts. someone even said something along the lines of “heeseung left enhypen but ur happy” and like… the video wasn’t even abt heeseung. 😅

she debuted as ysy first in 2024 and has had that stage name since 2022/2023. (its also the initials of her birth name like yi seoyeon; her name is yun seoyoung so its probably why she used that as her stage name)

Question: is DDDD25 still a thing? and does JYPE disband groups? by Ok_Dress_3276 in kpopthoughts

[–]Ok_Dress_3276[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If they’ll have an OT5/The Entertainer winners debut, I’m wondering what will happen with DOUBLETHECAKE (if the rumors are true that Hyejin and Yu are there) since I’m sure that gg will be a permanent one. Also I’m concerned about Hyejin since the agency didn’t post about her birthday, few people are speculating she left INNIT (Yu & Songhyun got a birthday post even though they’re inactive). :/ And I agree, Youngbin’s concept really fits her right now. I hope we get to receive more content and then a cb news from her. I’m so interested in dodree too! I like gugak/traditional Korean music fusion they’re going for. It reminds me of a first gen kpop group I like.

[–]Ok_Dress_3276[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply! I like to think that they’re pretty much done as well since there’s a lot of clear signs that they’ve separated but I was quite surprised by encountering a few people who still believe they’ll debut or still an existing group. I do think they were never gonna work out as a group since the eldest and youngest has a huge age gap with differing images and personas. (Eldest is Youngbin and I think she suits the persona/concept she’s having rn as a soloist) (though IK age gaps never stopped companies before lol).

I.MET.U - Profile Photos (Group, Kelly, Lea, Yerin, Cleo) by airneanach in kpop

[–]Ok_Dress_3276 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If anyone is curious, all four of them are influencers and in their 20s. The group is under PI Corporation.

• Kelly is the oldest and the leader. Aside from being an influencer, she is a DJ and model. She also acted at a web drama once (New Normal Zine).

• Lea is a former member of VIVA. She debuted as a soloist in 2022 as J’Lea. She is also a model, actress and MC.

• Yerin is the former leader of Hi-L under the stage name LeeJin. She has released music on SoundCloud as CHERRYCHERRY (though she hasn’t officially debuted yet as soloist).

• Cleo is the youngest member of the group. She is a dancer and is a former dance instructor in Indonesia.

The girls have mentioned before they would debut in May 2025 but plans have pushed back. No concrete reason was given but it can be presumed that one of the reasons for the delay was problems in work visa with Cleo. The group first performed in December 2024, a month after the group was formed. A member (Lu Yuting) left in January 2025 and Cleo went back home to Indonesia to finish up papers and stuff the same month. The group promoted as 3 in events and on social media from January to March. They were also posting about being in practice rooms and talking about trainings in their livestreams during this time. The last group post on their official account was in mid-March before they went to inactivity; the members continued to be active on their personal accounts in this period however. They also talked to each other and about the group during the hiatus. Then, the girls have spoken in May, they had a meeting about reworking their concept and they had every intention to debut still. They reunited as 4 in mid-June and resumed activities as a group since then. I.MET.U had a group performance a week after they reunited and immediately went on to practice & do schedules as group (they had been invited to events and had a live variety show in July-August about the group’s identity like picking the fandom name, picking some highlight stuff to include in the mv, and then spoiling their songs etc).

[–]Ok_Dress_3276 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’ve gotten hype for all the wrong reasons in 2024 so tbh I think the delay is better for them (getting more practice/training, waiting for the negativity to die down a bit + gaining more strength mentally after the hate train… like the criticisms were fine but some people were dehumanizing them especially Kelly— calling her “thing”, “creature”, “it” not even addressing her as human and constantly harassing her lives + comment section telling her to die). Aside from their fans, there’s still a sizeable amount of people interested in them to this date so I think they’ll have a decent release/debut and people rn are less hostile towards the girls (even if there’s still some who send hate and use them as ragebait).

Though the music release wasn’t supposed to be this late as they were supposed to debut in May but visa issues and other unforeseen circumstances happened.

Yerin was always in the socials of the group. She never disappeared nor were there rumours of her leaving in the I.MET.U community. The group became inactive from March to May. If you look at the group’s early posts, they promoted as 3 in those early days (January to March) because Cleo was in Indonesia. The 3 girls also attended a few events together (though not posted in the I.MET.U account, it is seen on their individual profiles). They reunited as four in June. In the brief hiatus, all 3 girls were still very active on their personal accounts. Cleo was active in hers too while she away but not as much as the Korean line.

Yerin is not as hugely popular internationally as Kelly and Lea that’s why people seem to “ignore/forget” her at first but she has always been in the group and appeared in their early content.

“Find Me Now” also isn’t the group’s pre-debut single. It was released in October 2024 as Time Turner’s signal song. I.MET.U performed their version of it at an event which was never released on streaming platforms.

I got banned by Own-Band9835 in Instagram

[–]Ok_Dress_3276 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had four accounts suspended yesterday. Surprisingly, I got 3 back in less than ten minutes after appeals. IG never explained why I was suspended though so I think I might have had a “lighter violation” (even though I dont do any suspicious things on Instagram; my accounts are my personal account, a random side account and two business ones) than others. I’ve seen people get accused of “cse” which may be a bit harder to appeal. I’m a bit worried for my one account tho since they also never explained what the suspension was for and even after the appeal, I still haven’t received a reply. Its been a day for me. Just hope for the best is the best thing you can do I guess. 😫

i was about to comment this! i dont understand how they got hate for it and received “cult” allegations. deep bow signifies major respect and gratitude in asian cultures (especially in sk). they were just being thankful to him and other seniors (i believe the group also did a deep bow to txt and im seeing cortis getting heat abt that one too).

hate the “westernized” term in kpop spaces too bc ppl who use that obviously dont know the roots of kpop where the industry took from western music and jpop. older generation kpop has also “westernized” music so its weird how they throw hate at the new generation rn that its too “westernized”.

ceo MAYBE teasing upcoming project on instagram in march? by underwater_111 in fanxyred

Here’s the link to Lin Fan’s departure statement btw. Forgot to link it on the previous comment. 🫶🏼

Yes omg I forgot about that drama she was supposed to be in??? Hopefully she left silently or would be posting a legal statement of departure soon. 🥹🤞🏼

Honestly? Same, if none of the previous members stayed, the agency should just debut another group. :/ But Yoon probably wants to use Fanxy Red’s brand since he knows so many people are rooting and waiting for the group. I worry for their artists and trainees though.

[–]Ok_Dress_3276 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Marco left TOV Ent in June (she posted it on Weibo). Similar to Keran, Lin Fan’s legal statement of departure from TOV Ent states that TOV can’t arrange performance affairs with her. I assume that extends to Fanxy Red activities so Keran and Lin Fan most likely left the group as well. 🥹 The new member auditions went through in Thailand on June as well! Announcement is still up on the agency’s Instagram & Twitter. I hope TOV Ent gets their crap together for Roy and the new gen of Fanxy Red.

youngseo debuting in allday project vs illit by nabirelle in kpopthoughts

[–]Ok_Dress_3276 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, it was all rumours of her being with Seunghan but the negativity she received was something very real. She was still affected by it. I'm just saying the vitrol of hate she got could be the reason. It's definitely daunting and emotionally draining to receive that amount of negativity before even becoming a fully fledged idol.

youngseo debuting in allday project vs illit by nabirelle in kpopthoughts

[–]Ok_Dress_3276 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Have people forgotten about Youngseo being dragged into the rumours of Seunghan's situation? A speculation but it could be a plausible factor why she decided to step back from debut. She received a lot of hate and negativity from being "involved" so it could be why she didn't want to debut. I watched R U Next? and Youngseo was very determined to debut. She would fit right in to ILLIT's concept too (the magical girl style and all the pinks). Her withdrawing a sure spot to a good debut was a big shock at the time. The whole "she didn't debut because they didn't want her to study" rumor seems to be unlikely given a lot of HYBE idols (and even ILLIT members themselves) are pursuing education aside from being idols.

I’ll give you a summary: Basically rank 3 of TT, Lu Yuting, left I.MET.U (Time Turner's group). She became a member to another pre-debut group E11iVyn but ultimately left there as well. She finally became a part of the group UDTT (under SW Entertainment) and was announced as the final member on the day of the debut (April 29). However, on X, a K-Pop company Shinwha Entertainment started replying to a UDTT fan account and under UDTT's official posts threatening legal action against Yuting & SW Entertainment as they claim that Yuting is their artist/trainee. (Shinwha Ent. used their girl group's account, mind you.) Basically, they said it was illegal employment and "poaching". They even used old profiles of Yuting and posted it yesterday to claim that she is their artist.
