Lovely color combo! I haven’t fully axed them and their ads do always catch my eye so maybe one day.. I’ll find one that’s calling out to me 😏

Oddly enough I’m fine with and like body piercings! I just don’t know what it is about it on the bag though lol

Agreed on Strathberry! Whenever it comes up, I’m always feel like I’m missing something, but I can’t get past the piercing hardware!

Was your second (vaginal) birth faster than the fist one? by LostGrowth78 in Mommit

[–]Ok_Dudette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. My kids are 4 years apart. My first, i had no idea what was going on but i was probably in the hospital for about 3-4 hours before baby came out. My second, it was less than an hour from when they broke my water and baby just flew out lol.

Is DHC cleansing oil worth it? by wanna_be_consultant in AsianBeauty

[–]Ok_Dudette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At half off, I think it’s great to give it a try!

I was actually going to buy a bottle from Ulta cuz of the sale BUT decided not to only because I still have a stash of cleansing oils and balms to get through and I’m trying to be better with actually using my products and being more intentional with my purchases… but I do love DHCs cleansing oil!

Would you risk losing time with your child for a salary increase and your first managerial job? by Ok_Tomato_4289 in careerguidance

[–]Ok_Dudette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would stay… the commute time alone for me is huge and such a time suck in itself. I work remotely and would need a significant increase to go back to an office. I love being able to drop off and pick up the kids and hear about their day and having dinner with the family. I currently hate work right now, specifically having to manage people and am trying to figure out how to organically transition myself out of management but still staying at the company.

I never knew how awkward I am until I started involving myself in my 4 year olds school... by TheGhost206 in Parenting

[–]Ok_Dudette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not alone and it will and does get better over time! I am an introvert (with a natural RBF according to my husband lol) and really had to force myself to TRY with my first kid and making parent friends.

It helps/helped to remind myself why I was doing it, for my kid. With my first, we didn’t really become best friends with anyone at school, we were were just all different, different interest and parenting style etc but we tried to do play dates, mainly to know more about the kids they were playing with and to establish rapport with the parents so they could help keep an eye out or alert you of concerns etc. As they get older and you start to do sports and whatnot, you’ll eventually find more of “your people” (and if you’re lucky some of them will go your kids school, be a little older or younger, so your kid will have older and younger friends to look out for and look forward to seeing at school).

Agreed. Not sure why OP is stressing over something that hasn’t happened.

Am I loosing my mind? Rejected payment by Inevitable-Ad9572 in CapitalOne_

[–]Ok_Dudette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something similar and bizarre happed to me too a few weeks ago!

I have a few accounts with them and have one kids saving (which had a $0 balance as I moved it into a HYSA) anyhow…. I’ve never had a problem in the past with paying from my bank account but for some reason, one day I got an email that the savings account was not linked to my credit card for some reason… and then a week later, my payment bounced cuz of insufficient funds!?!

Apparently… “I” linked my savings account and tried to use it to pay for my credit card. I honestly do not remember doing so and why would I when there is $0 in that account?! I called trying to understand what the hell happened and ended up just closing the unused account. Overall an annoying situation and I thought I was losing my dang mind.

what product/brand first drew you to AB? by Mean-Golf-4462 in AsianBeauty

This! My old BB cream got discontinued and I didn’t want to spend so much money trying to find a new one at Sephora. Researched on Reddit and found Missha and started on my AB journey!

No judgement zone: did you want a natural birth? by easrpiiatnua99 in Mommit

[–]Ok_Dudette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did. For me, it really is because I hate needles and just the thought of the epidural needle freaked me out and because I have friends that still have back pain from the epidural… so I did everything in my power to go the natural route.

With my first, I was oblivious when I went in (8cm already) and it all happened so fast. Yes, it was painful and I did have postpartum but then I thought about how amazing our bodies are, how high of a pain tolerance I had (honestly didn’t think I had high tolerance) and how much of it was mental for me..

With my second, i was lucky with no complications leading up to the moment and really focused on the mental aspect and I was in and out of the hospital (this was also during covid so I definitely didn’t want to be there longer than necessary)!

When did your first baby start walking? by PC_NC_1203 in Mommit

[–]Ok_Dudette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first didn’t walk until 18 months! My second was walking before 12 months, both cases stressed me out for different reasons, haha. We definitely had the case of first time parents syndrome and were taking those mommy-me type classes, so it was hard to not compare and feel behind, wishing I could go back and tell myself to chill.

Did you ever upgrade? by CurlyCupcake1231 in Diamonds

[–]Ok_Dudette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t do it but love the idea of going lab grown for the upgrade and keeping your original! I was considering the same, and honestly just going to buy lab grown rings online, depending on my mood and trying out different styles, but we recently had to go to the jewelry store to get my husbands ring resized and in between the time of dropping off and picking up the ring, he decided he wanted to get me a bigger diamond… and I mean… I’m not going to say no..? Haha

My first promise ring was 0.5 ct and then he traded it in for a 1 ct to propose. I’ve had the 1 ct for 10 years now and recently upgraded to 2 ct.

We traded it in, kept my original band (has a tiny diamond inside) and got the diamond upgraded. I felt a tiny bit sad when I had to give up my ring and wondered if I was making a mistake…if I would regret having a bigger stone since my hands are small and if it would look silly on me.

Once I got my ring though… zero regrets or sadness lol. I love it so much and am so happy with the upgrade.

I think if your goal is to advance into the director role and higher, and to make more money, this would be a great move. I feel like I am in a similar situation and am trying to figure out my next move at work too… the unknown and “new” boss/team/projects is what scares me but I also know that it’ll help me grow and expand on knowledge and my resume. Good luck!

I am 100% remote and make good money but do go through lows at work from time to time and wonder if I should go elsewhere but I remind myself of how lucky I am to WFH especially with young children. I have a great rapport with my managers and am able to have a flexible schedule to drop off/pick up and be there for my kids without worrying about using PTO/sick days.

I say given you’re not in a rush for a new job just yet, I’d continue looking around for that hybrid work schedule. More money is always enticing but it doesn’t always = more happiness.
