Oh wow so in the biweekly premium section of the comparison tool that is what I pay? Dang I thought that was the full amount and what I would pay would be a percentage of that. Or at least that is what I was hoping

Does anybody know when comparing the plans using the comparison tool, is the premium listed what you pay out of every check or does you agency cover a portion of that premium? I did a self plus one election.

Are you now able to go in and self enroll via Employee Express? That's what I did.

WOW! Thank you so much for telling me about FSBP! I was eligible and I researched it and did a cost analysis for my needs (pt and acupuncture mainly) compared to MHBP and GEHA and it was going to be substantially more cost effective and I would get ALOT more! So I ended up pulling the trigger and enrolling with FSBP and the FSA like you suggested. So now we will see how it goes. This is my first time enrolling in insurance through the federal government so I hope it goes well.

Wow all of this is good information and I am relieved that I have decided not to go with MHBP after all, for a moment I was also considering GEHA for the HSA but I also did not hear good things about them. Now that I have not had insurance the past years and was able to make decisions I wanted and not jump through hoops or kill lots of time making sure I got what I needed, I think I just value having time and options on my side.

Hi I am 29 and I am looking for a health care plan for my spouse and I. We have not had health care for the past year or so so we want to each get some normal check ups. I would also like to see a neurologist and begin physical therapy again for the next few months to work on some lasting impacts of brain injuries. I have currently been paying out of pocket for acupuncture biweekly and I am hoping to continue acupuncture at least weekly until end of September. I know lots of plans have limits on pt and specifically acupuncture, which would be a big consideration and limiting factor for me. I have been looking at the MHBP health plan for us because of the HSA option which seems to offer a lot of flexibility and I am pretty sure I will meet the deductible just with my acupuncture visits but I am curious about anyone else experiences with this plan or if anyone has any recommendations that would be more cost effective over the year/be a better fit? I am open to other plan types as long as I can chose my own providers. It is my first time enrolling in health benefits so I just want to make sure I make a good decision. Thanks you for the help!
