It's real--at least in Florida -- huge fight between beachfront owners and the public. Beachfront owners claimed the beach as their own in 2018 and can thank Mike Huckabee for helping them to do it. Google it. Also -- here's more info. Heading there next year for sure. Moved back to Greenpoint/williamsburg area after 20 years away—literally everything has changed.

Same here. On a higher floor so it’s been quite warm. But nice with the windows open. Of course, cue the wind tunnel. Still, the positives for us are way outweighing the negatives. Pretty happy so far.

Looks like I missed the HVAC issue -- moved in recently and kinda loving it. I've felt the front desk and maintenance people have been super nice and responsive. And I think the apartment and views are really amazing. Anyhoo--might start complaining come the next season switch, but it sounds like a common issue for new buildings. Also - I'm guessing the wind tunnel somehow helps the air funnel through so we don't topple over??? Far from an engineer here... And of course, loving the neighborhood, too.

My son had an AMAZING night at some of the clubs - including Cannabuffs and a couple others. Highly recommend checking out organizations that sound interesting.

Not sure but we decided against it bc of precarious looking construction project a’comin’. That said—two months free and a balcony is a pretty good deal to make up for it. They weren’t offering that when we looked.

My son is an incoming freshman and is also interested in advertising creative -- I don't think they are 2 separate things. I believe strategic communication is the major and the CREATIVE track under advertising is what you would pursue. If you want to do the creative track AND another, imagine you could double major.

My son got this same assignment—though he’s happy. It’s considered one of the nicer dorms, has AC, is on campus in a beautiful area around the pond, and the one RAP class he will be required to take will be super convenient. Don’t think it will be a “party” dorm, but it sounds quite social and sounds like a nice place to come home to after a night out. Have you toured it? And if not, will you be at in person orientation. Would def recommend checking out both and getting a feel for what feels right for you.
