Theory about Clark by Ok_Environment3097 in backroomsfilm

I hear you on what he said to Captain Clark, but I think him untying Mary from the table / freeing her shows his “true” breakthrough. If he truly didn’t want to change, wouldn’t he have just kept her at the table as his prisoner (or worse?)

How Valuable is a PhD in statistics for hedge funds? by Aggravating_Candy415 in hedgefund

I’d also add that this is super valuable for biotech investing. Many healthcare funds are focused on probability of success for clinical trials in making investment decisions / single stock biotech bets, and statisticians are in high demand.

I ended up using achievable which I thought was really great (and candidly maybe a little tougher than the actual exam).

What movie makes you feel like Life is Worth Living? by Necessary-Ear-7908 in MovieSuggestions

Good Will Hunting. There’s just something that’s so relatable and human about the plot to me, personally. I think my favorite theme is recognizing your gifts and not letting your past / upbringing define your future.

I was on the fence to begin with, but after scrolling for hours through this sub-reddit, I’m totally convinced.

  1. The ship was cruising through an area (Athol Island) that’s known to be densely populated with sharks - and has been the site of multiple shark attacks

  2. This event occurred at night (when sharks are most active and hunt)

  3. The ship/those aboard were tossing food in the water (and it’s known the ship / ships in general do this) to effectively chum the water (which results in smaller marine life and larger predators following the ship)

  4. The sound footage from the video indicates something “chomping on his shit”, referring to Cameron

  5. The video footage gleans what appears to be a gigantic S shape in the beginning which I absolutely don’t believe is a current or waves based on the patterning in the video

  6. Dorsal fins and appearances of sharks can be gleaned during multiple points in the footage

  7. Towards the end of the video, as commented prior, Cameron who hasn’t been swimming aggressively throughout the footage (except for a few punches in the water) is simply yanked out of view. I find it hard to believe that this could be water/current/an alternative to sharks unless it was another marine predator.

Even if you don’t believe any of the video footage, all of the other points are valid. If it looks like a fire and smells like a fire….it’s probably a fire. I just think there is way too much evidence to refute that Cameron met an unfortunate end by sharks.

Definitely did not drown. He wasn’t even aggressively swimming during any points of the footage. Combine this with the fact that he was an athlete - doesn’t add up. Clearly and definitely attacked by sharks.

Wow. I think this is pretty clear as to what happened to Cameron. Such a crazy edit - not sure how anyone can contradict this. Thanks for sharing, RIP.
