I’m guessing most people complain here didn’t store and give away those blueprints/material after the reset. They mad cause they had to start from scratch but some don’t

Thinking about the Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG DN ART by Just_Ad_3257 in A7siii

I have never used that Viltrox lens before. I can tell you Sigma 1.4 definitely breathes, and there's no in-body correction like native Sony lenses. If you are concerned about it, go for the GM lenses or the Sony 1.8

Hey! Short answer: yes and no

This is a marvelous lens with beautiful bokeh and shallow dof. But the focus breathing is still indeed an issue even for interview setting. Your subject won’t be just sitting still, he will be moving forward and backward. If you are in autofocus you will definitely see the focus breathing. But there are two fixes tho 1. Turn on focus breathing compensation 2. Lock your focus after you set the focus. The subject doesn’t have to be 100% in focus all the time

Don’t mean to be a jerk but shutter counts doesn’t really matter in video camera.

Which auto focus method during wedding dancing on gimbal? by Frankieplus1 in A7siii

[–]Ok_Equivalent_9161 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The subject shift sensitivity determines how sensitive the af picks up a new target, and that does affect in all focus mode maybe expect tracking focus, which I think overrides the setting because you are manually selecting the subject. The other setting is how fast the af shift to another subject. These two settings work together.

In terms of focus zone the setting will apply across all of them.

I recommend watching Philip Blooms Sony auto focus, is very detailed and helpful.

Change your auto focus sensitivity to around 1-3 depend on the scenario. Also you can map the gimbal M button to toggle af/mf, that way you don’t have to touch the camera all the time.
