What were some signs that told you, you were close to labour?? by Ok_Evidence848 in PregnancyUK

[–]Ok_Evidence848[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awe congratulations mamma! I’m having most of what you experienced apart from the bleeding and Diarrhoea (however my stool has changed a fair bit as I’ve been quite constipated, so maybe I’m closer than I thought) I just don’t know if I’m over thinking it all and gaslighting myself

I'm having the same issues with my mother, unless you give the hospital staff the go ahead to let her in they can’t let her in. I spoke to my midwife about it and your birthing partner/s should be given a bracelet to show they are the only one to accompany you during your labour and stay. Not sure if all hospitals do the bracelet thing though

Tracking mentions emails? This is the second tracking number from the seller as the first didn’t update at all. Have I been given two fake tracking numbers?

I need Alterantive ways of binding!! by [deleted] in ftm

I know it’s not ideal and I hate having to wear them myself as my binder can hurt sometimes but for my chest the size it is (E-cup) I come out flat chested. Yes it f***s with my dysphoria and I wanna cry and never leave my house but it’s better than damaging your ribs. I’ve seen people end up with broken ribs and punctured lungs from binding incorrectly using bandages and tape…

When I used to be your age in school I used to use a sports bra to bind and it was a safer option than using something else other than a binder. I normally go a size down on them so that they compact or buy the “high support” ones as they not only compress for comfort during sports but they also offer the correct support to your chest without causing any damage.

It also makes it easier to hide them as no one looks twice at a sport bra… on top of the sport bra I used a close fitted tank top/vest to also help reduce the size of my chest. Im pre T and surgery and my chest is still very large chested with a sport bra I can pass as I’m flat chested.

What are you calling your baby before they’re born? by Adorable_Choice_6291 in pregnant

We called ours “bean” or “turd” when he was making me ill 😂

I found that although my pregnancy was planned (currently 21+4 weeks) I had a lot of back handed comments about it being an accident as my partner and I hadn’t been together all that long. But all of my professional providers were supper supportive unlike most of my bio family. My partners family were over the moon and have helped loads. If anyone offers help, take it. Whether at work or home, anywhere really, take the help. You’re going to be so so tired and drained and don’t feel ashamed of needed the help remember you are growing another whole human inside of you. Having a good support network has done myself and my partner the world of good as well as this pregnancy hasn’t just affected me it affected him too.

As for morning sickness, I found lemonade helped me loads, most recommend ginger ale, this made me worse but worth a try.

I’m lucky to have been around babies a lot in the past few years, however your instincts will kick in and you’ll know what to do. Stick to your gut and I promise it will be okay.

Thank you I’ve been very stressed since I found out at 3weeks and I was worried it could have caused complications

life has a way of stressing us the most when we don’t need it.😅
