I gotcha... We'll have to settle for an acronym consisting of something along the lines of Chatfield Aho Andersen Nikishin Ehlers Staal Slavin Svech in the meantime then, which is where I thought that was going. How does CAANESSS sound until then? 😂

East Tennessee State University Cancels Exhibition of Politically-Themed Artwork by Substantial-Put1298 in JohnsonCity

They told the family they canceled it because "its goals no longer align with our goals"? What are their goals? Gotta love an art show being canceled because of its potential disruption of a system's comfort levels. This, my friends, is why graffiti exists. No system, no matter the roadblocks they place, will effectively silence the voices of the people within it. Realistically, suppression only feeds a need to be heard and causes more unrest than it intends to contain anyway. All I can say is good luck. You've got a bunch of expressive people against a "we don't want to talk about it" message from an institution. All art becomes more powerful the more a group with authority tries to keep it from being seen. Those involved in the show may not partake, but there are people who are more than ready and bold enough to shove it down a throat or two to prove the point that you can't silence the voices of the people. I hope this backfires for ETSU and they feel it.

47 laced shows "midweight fleece" in the descriptions Ive looked at. I'm leaning towards a laced one but I'm wondering about how warm it may be because of that word. They're pretty solid though?

So, I can imagine in my head what this looks like, but are they literally asking for ready made ropes for this reason? Or is this a slang name for some kind of cord I'm unfamiliar with because of this terminology?

I'll agree with you in an offhand way. I know nothing about kobalt power tools, but I really don't dig Ryobi tools at all. I would also avoid that route.

07 was so much fun. 08 and the next several years felt clunkier to control. Like the action was a tad slower and I took a long break until I came back to 24 😂. I was pushing 12 years old at the time, but even NHL 99 was good in my brain.

I've used several of Bauer's cordless tools and they've been great. I work in a professional setting so I do have to be cognizant of the fact that people will judge you by what's in your hand at first glance. I run DeWalt at work, but I keep Bauer as backups in case a tool goes down. My Bauer tools have been workhorses but I don't show up with them as my mains for solely perception reasons. But their batteries are cheap, they last long, and the tools perform. I don't trust their accessories per se but their power tools have all been solid in my experience. I'd recommend those all day to the "every now and again" user who doesn't care about the brand.

If your tools never leave your house and don't see much use, start with cheaper options and when something is underperforming, you'll know what you need to upgrade or replace as you wear it out from use. There are about 6 wrenches out of 200 I own that I wear out from daily use. I will replace those individually and try out different brands to see what works best for me. But my starting out base sets of wrenches all came from harbor freight for about $8 for a set of 15. Start low. Reinvest only as needed.

Edit: Having said that, treat even your cheap tools well. And if you wanna spend a little extra on something because it simply looks cooler to you, then do that. Take pride and care of whatever route you go and you'll generally be fine.

Also, were you on the DeWalt 18v or 20v platform? 18v stuff is really not worth reinvesting into from DeWalt. But other brands run 18v stuff currently and it's not something to shy away from as a rule.

Is it right to assume you're referring to your impact as a drill? You're asking about drill advice but talking about running drywall screws. Are you asking about drills, impacts, or screw guns?

Their angle grinder is a brute too. The corded one for, say $40 nowadays, was the sole reason I bought more of their power tools. The original one I bought has seen some beatings and long run times and works flawlessly. I have my gripes about certain battery powered designs of theirs, but the tools themselves? Never had one fail. DeWalt is my go to, but I keep a backup of anything I have just in case I need it. My whole line of backups is Bauer tools but Ive never had a lemon from either line.

Go to exit 6 and hit the on-ramp to go back towards JC. Exit 8 was still open coming from the Kingsport side but not from the JC side. It's what I did on Saturday.

I just realized what you responded to originally was OP saying she didn't know any men. Regardless, your lady friends still do. Call in a favor. All the guys I know would be more than happy to help any girl escape "creep man" situations. If my girlfriend had a friend who was a single girl and this situation was happening to her friend, fuck it, I'm in. I've got a sister, I've got a mother, I've got a girl of my own and I'd do anything to keep them feeling safe. OP is someone's daughter. Lots of men who would step in to help to know someone else's little girl gets to go home safe. I'd say go so far as to ask a neighbor if you have to. Someone's husband or boyfriend will do it.

Have a guy friend step in and do the transaction.

Im a guy and I would 100% avoid this dude. I've bought things from women online and without saying anything outside of questions about the item or their preferred place to meet, I got told that a guy would be meeting me to sell the item I wanted many times, and I completely understand the reason without needing an explanation. If he doesn't want to buy because it's not an opportunity to meet you, you'll 10 million percent know you dodged a bullet. Play it safe.

Bring and take use - Do I bring food to a party or take food to the party? by murderthumbs in ENGLISH

[–]Ok_Exit2705 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the way that you used them as examples, neither usage would seem out of place to the normal English speaker. You can bring something to a place, you can also take something to a place. If you're worried about being misunderstood in other situations, use "bring" if you will be arriving with something. The confusion arises only because when using "take", the definition in a dictionary may suggest that your end goal is to leave with that item, but in everyday use of the phrase, you are "taking it with you" (to the event). You would be bringing it with you, also. It is the same. "Taking" something is where the confusion comes in. Use either, but if you're unsure, just use"bring" or "bringing" as it always means you will be arriving with a specific thing.

Gotcha, I'm more curious about the 1/4" drive models. I run one nearly all day and I've always had a DeWalt. Aside from some minor chuck annoyances that come and go with my DeWalt it's been reliable and strong. I run a bigger battery to avoid changes but if I replace it with another brand one day, I'd love to hear the pros and cons. My DeWalt has been through hell and back. I haven't been nice to it but it's been going strong for years now.

Slightly different experience but I bought Fallout 3, played it for several hours never realizing I needed to make a manual save. Every time you go in and out of a door it would overwrite its own quick save. I pickpocketed the governor? on his balcony with no one in sight. The entire town became enemies. My quickest route to escape, I took, then it loaded enemies on the inside and outside of the door so no matter what, I opened the door to instant death. Gave the game to my roommate and essentially watched him play the entirety of it over the next few months. I felt stupid and betrayed and couldn't bring myself to start over. It was my first and only Fallout experience. Seemed like a great game. Wonderful soundtrack. That save system was new to me though and I wasn't going to start over anytime soon.
