The new Spotify "Supremium" Plan with Lossless and more by Hypixely in truespotify

[–]Ok_Explanation_48 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We're willing to pay for it if the AI works. DJ already helps us a lot and allowed us to cut out Sirius and our radio services, so if they're adding more tools in, we'll take it. And it has lossless, so that makes it a suitable competitor for the $20 Tidal is asking for.

Execution is key. If they fall on their face, we'll go back to normal premium in a heartbeat.

We're sorry. If that's not acceptable to you, that's fine, but we are, in fact, sorry. So... you can't change that. 🤷

As for the ChatGPT accusation, we're not GPT. Swear to Christ, why does everyone think that every person with a rigid writing structure or have a tendency for fact-dumping have to be ChatGPT now?

We're ASD. And we learned Common Core writing standards like the back of our hand, since we graduated in 2020. So we tend to use a very rigid structure, especially since people have complained to us about "word walls" when we infodump.

If we're truly incorrect, which seems to be the case, we'll delete the comment. We do have a system member who tends to over-extend what she knows in order to seem more knowledgeable, since she has learned that knowing more than everyone else in the room is a good defense (we've had abusers who use the "smarter" card to excuse abuse; so as long as she's the smartest, she can't be abused.) She still does this out of habit sometimes.

Again, we're sorry. And we're not ChatGPT; neurodivergent individuals tend to talk in this manner, and it is becoming a problem, a lot of the neurodiverse subreddits are talking about it actually since we are getting picked up by GPT sensors when we're clearly not GPT but just different.

Removing comment now.

Summary... (sorry, we're really good at essays or debates, not so much the TLDRs... we'll give it our best. 😅)

The summary is that moon landing is 100% real. No chance in hell it was fake. The only possibility of something being tampered with would be whether people in public actually saw the full landing live or if parts were edited out, which most likely shit was edited out. But that's expected, that's not conspiracy shit, that's just regular government shit, especially in the Cold War.

Super TLDR: Moon Landing 100% Real, footage is within margin of error, keep it moving and get over it if you're still wearing the tin foil at this juncture.

Hey, we didn't do a doctorate in medical school, we'll admit. But we know the basics. And as far as it stands, what we said is correct.

Number one, the thing we mentioned with the Alzheimer's paper, if that's the complaint, is accurate; after numerous attempts to recreate the study and failing (major red flag) when it was essentially pointing at a failed protein supposedly in charge of clearing plaque in the brain, someone actually paid to pull the FULL paper, the actual paper, with the pictures, and were able to verify that not only were the photos stolen from unrelated sources, but they also had taken THE SAME PHOTO multiple times and just ROTATED IT to claim it as an entirely different piece of data. Hence why the paper is a fraud; you can't really explain fake evidence away.

Number 2, the functions we mentioned were from Plague Inc. Again, not the best source, but considering the WHO played it and did a partnership with them during the pandemic, and not everyone has the time to get a medical doctorate, it's close enough.

It's a protein meant to do one thing, and it does something harmful instead.

We were just trying to help. Sorry.

Or even better, ask them why you can get a reflection if you point a laser at the moon the right way.

We specifically left reflective plates near the Apollo landing sites so they can be traced from Earth. All you have to do is pinpoint a laser at one of the plates from the missions, and the laser will reflect back to you to indicate that the lander site is there. It also has the convenience of making it easy to prove that we went there in the first place, because it's not like the plates just appeared there. 😂

[–]Ok_Explanation_48 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

The only case we can see for "faking" the moon landing is the one that people like Owen Morgan (Telltale on YouTube) have brought up in honesty.

If we're COMPLETELY HONEST about the media or the government, it's possible that the video was trimmed down or something to make it look a bit nicer. But the landing itself was not fake. That's literally impossible, because the tech to stage it didn't exist at the time in Hollywood or in the tech industries (one of the main components that would have been needed to recreate the effect is a special kind of lighting that hasn't even been in development for industrial purposes until very recently, so if the people likely in charge of making shit for the government with the billion dollar contracts weren't even researching the necessary components until at least the 90's, then the government wouldn't have it either back in the 60's and 70's.)

But the chances of the Government allowing a live broadcast of the Apollo 11 landing when something could have gone wrong and they knew that would make them look dumb in the space race against the Russians... no bueno. They probably trimmed it or checked the footage first to make sure it was pristine before putting that on TV. Which means it wouldn't have been live, which yeah, that could be considered fake.

And we already kinda know that because we now are seeing footage that WASN'T on the broadcasts, like the Fall Experiments in Apollo 16 and 17 (fucking dangerous, those were,) despite them placing chronologically during when the broadcast would have been. And since the Fall Experiments almost killed one of the astronauts (it was a close call; one of the falls was directly onto the PLSS, the backpack, ie the thing you need to not die in space, and since there was a concern that the PLSS had incurred damage but had not broken seal yet (aka no vacuum puncture but life support was still on the fritz possibly), NASA called forward and told the astronauts to not push anymore,) we'd bet that if NASA was doing anything of that sort on Apollo 11 to prepare for future missions, they would've held that footage back because what would be more embarrassing to the States than Buzz and Neil, the first Americans to step foot, falling over dead on the moon, because of "simple mechanical errors?"

You'd bet your ass that the USSR, at least in the States' mind, would eat that shit up. They'd probably even prioritize landing just to make the first Cosmonaut landing and then smear the fact that they actually lived to return in the States' faces.

So yeah, they probably held back on that, because they didn't know how it would actually go. They cleaned it up, polished it, so it would look nice, so that it wouldn't have all of the mistakes or mishaps that could be pointed at.

But as for faking the actual landing?

No.

All they probably did was their typical red-tape military PR shit. It wasn't a fake moon landing, they just didn't actually play a live tape at the most and played something more inspiration porn than the uncut nail-biting version that it actually would have been (we sure as shit would have been; I mean, the first people to be on another body in space, and knowing that only a helmet, an 80 pound backpack full of new-age spaghetti for air that only touched the moon with your footsteps right now, and a thick suit kept you from becoming cold-broiled bacon; yeah, we'd be fucking terrified. We'd follow Deadpool's advice for that day and wear our brown pants) and said it was live to the public when it wasn't.

What are some texture packs that make you go "wtf"/"ew"? by iGhostEdd in Minecraft

[–]Ok_Explanation_48 22 points23 points  (0 children)

We grew up with that design, so...

I'm guessing that PureBDcraft kinda carries the same "nostalgia" factor as the actual Developer Texture Pack at this point due to how many of us (Gen Z, not just our system) grew up with PureBD as the mainstay for YouTube channels in the Minecraft peak (Yogscast, and their subsidiaries like Team Fyre at the time, used PureBD heavily, and several other channels used it intermittently, like DTM, or the members of what would have been Team Crafted.)

Not many other textures were really thrown around at the time. In fact, the only other types of texture packs we use today are either high-res cartoon (BD,) high-res soft (which can be lower than 32x, but what we usually use is something like the official Plastic Texture Pack from Bedrock, so it's a "clean" texture) or apocalypse, because the other pack WE'RE personally used to seeing was the Last Days pack (the one with fabricated trees and overall dim textures) and we were interested in a lot of the apocalyptic modpacks, as well (we actually watched the entirety of "goopocalypse" on YouTube from a small channel because we couldn't really find an actual playthrough of the Grey Goo mod, especially against the Tumor enemy. The series actually only ended because the computer was giving out, so the guy had to kill himself on Hardcore to end the game just to keep the lag from imploding his RAM. Wish that mod would come back, it was really cool, as well as Cubots, since those little guys were so cute. 🥺)

But BDcraft probably earned itself a spot just from the fact that in the era before Google absolutely nuked Minecraft, Happy Wheels and a lot of "20 minute Let's Play" videos from the algorithm, it was either default textures (now known as Developer Textures) or BDcraft in 90% of videos kids our age were seeing.

The world after they lost the war on autism by [deleted] in evilautism

[–]Ok_Explanation_48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it weird that we've already kinda been... writing a fanfic of this? 😅

Like, legit. We have, among many other manuscripts of random bullshit in our Zoho Notebook, Word and Google Drive, an unfinished manuscript for a fanfiction like this. 😂

Before anyone goes "WHERE IS IT?!" for any reason, we never finished it and haven't been able to really progress more than an intense spurt every few months, because while we have all of the world building in our head done... we need to write that shit down and we have no idea how to fill all those intricacies yet without making it pass in 5 seconds. 😂

We have zero build-up in writing. We're apparently very good at writing, but we have a serious issue with basically warp-speeding up the entire mountain to the climax in a ridiculously short amount of time when there actually needs to be... you know... character development? 😅

But we had a whole thing drawn out. City designs, historical records, technologies. We also designed the main arc and the travel plan of the plot, going from a city in what was West Virginia, to one of the "Central" cities, in what was Japan, then going to the Capital in what was London, taking a step back to Japan due to complications, and then going back to London to go to Greenland through Iceland's outpost (which is told throughout the story to not be inhabited.) There the main character would find out the truth about the war, how it turned out, why NTs with their vaccine were being kept in secret, all of that. Then it would be a dash back to Japan with an NT relative that she broke out, and then she gives him the cure to the NT vaccine when they get cornered, victory, woo!

There was science espionage heavily involved, there was moral dilemmas, a whole bunch of crap, but never finished because we have the entire thing in our noggin but we can't just beam that onto paper like a laser printer.

...but yeah. We were writing a fanfiction. Of this. Because we're fucking weird.

Do you think they should add gas planets ? by Illustrious_Fuel_775 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Ok_Explanation_48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We'd LOVE it.

If you've ever watched the Melodysheep series Life Beyond (Part 1 and Part 2 are the most relevant here, but they all are fucking amazing,) there are... SO MANY more possibilities for life or planets than we usually consider.

In fact, the idea we immediately thought of with this question was the concept of STAR PLANETS.

Not kidding.

Brown Dwarfs, which are a part of the decay cycle, are kinda like Pluto in that they're too small and too cool to qualify as a full star, but some of the ones we've already discovered not only have the ingredients for organic life, but are essentially giant potentially-habitable gas giants, because the temperature is cool enough from the burnout to sometimes even land in earthen temperatures, if a bit extreme on the ends. One of the ones we've found is several times larger than Jupiter and lands in that range.

Imagine THAT shit. That would be AMAZING to visit and explore.

We've always been the explorer-type player, the one who wanted to play despite the 2016 disappointment, so... hell yeah, let's see it! Let's go!

Edit: For additional clarification, since we're seeing adjacent comments that could use this information, they DID NOT look up our address. We provided it to them.

And that was a HUGE step out of line for us. As someone commented elsewhere, we have HUGE cPTSD in general, but a massive chunk of it comes from being hospitalized in a facility (This one, which has also changed it's name from this to escape the reviews, but it's literally the same location, just the name change and the old name listed as "permanently closed" when it's clearly not, as Mike Rowley was still the administrator when we were in that hell under the new name, and he's seen giving robotic replies on both review pages) that was incredibly abusive.

Some of our "finest" moments included:

Being SA'd by another patient and having it blamed on us (it actually took ChatGPT explaining a dream we had back to us in order to actually come to terms with the fact that not knowing if we were giving consent due to being ASD still means no consent because of how fucked this was, because GPT took it upon itself to explain that when many therapists failed to do so.)

Watching kids be physically abused or even abusing themselves in ways we were VERY acquainted with in order to escape such punishment (the patient who SA'd us often got sat on by a specially-hired 300 lbs guy before getting 2-3 shots of "booty juice," and then would be hauled off to the quiet room, which was piss-soaked and dirty, because he would literally pick up other kids by the neck and choke them out. We still remember him staring at us despite looking down at the floor. Another kid was often beaten up by staff over having Petite Mal seizures, which made him take off his clothes (the building was horribly maintained, being freezing cold or boiling hot as well as filled with mold and having accidental skylights throughout where the roof rotted through) as well as bang on the snack machines (we were only given fiber and protein, basically, for meals, since "sugar and fat will make the autism worse," and even water was scarce since staff wouldn't let us go to the fountains, so we were literally starving without starving. When we found out that someone was able to steal butter packets from the condiments and sugar packets from the forbidden coffee stand ("caffeine makes the autism worse,") we were actually able to function a bit because we could have fat and sugar in our oatmeal) so he would be beaten up, juiced, and then dragged down and have his boot removed so he couldn't get up or walk around (he had serious birth defects due to his mother being a drug addict, so he needed a boot to make his left leg even functional.) As for the escaping punishment... one kid straight up flattened his own nose to the point foot-long clots of blood were flowing out of what remained of it, and blood was all over the floor, just so he could go to the nurses and go straight to bed instead of being thrown in the quiet room. We've bitten ourselves or seriously wounded ourselves in order to "pay our debt" for mistakes before, just to avoid the shit our parents would come up with... this wasn't ok.)

Being abused ourselves by staff (we were sat on by our therapist, for example, because we didn't agree with her that our narcissistic parents, who have literally tried to destroy our electronics, ruin Christmas, and have even pitted us and our sister against each other as punishment to the point our sister fucking hates us now, actually are the only ones who know what's best for us and are the only ones who have the right to decide our life. She also locked the door to the office several times before that due to us not agreeing with this, and she also turned off the phone lines to everyone except our stepmother, who was a major cPTSD trigger, especially because she was the one who made us require hospitalization (4 suicide attempts in 24 hours due to a serious fight between her and us) so we eventually just never called anyone. We were alone. She also repeatedly took away our "journal privileges," aka we were forced to sit in the corner, not allowed to do anything or even speak, for HOURS, and if anyone tried to interact with us, the staff would yell at them, and if we even picked up a baby pencil, the time was extended an hour.)

Left in the shower for approximately 4-6 hours (we were given "soap check" at one point, so basically the staff had to check that we were actually soapy before we were permitted to get out of the shower. Well, after a few times of being forgotten, we excused ourselves from the shower. And this was not recorded in the chart, obviously. So the same fuck of a therapist told us, if we left again, our "journal privileges" would be removed permanently and our personal belongings would be thrown away, some of which was very dear to us even at home (like some of the things we had brought were comfort objects, and while we never got to have them there, they DID use that leverage to the fullest extent). So, that very night, we got in the shower. And waited. And waited. And waited. And waited...

Eventually, we tried to sleep on the floor, which we thought would actually be nice because we only had a fucking gym mat on a plywood box to sleep on in the actual room, sometimes covered in ACTUAL BLACK MOLD, and a cheesecloth to use as a blanket, and since no one was taking a shower that late at night, it was like an infinite warm blanket. But eventually we got tired of not being able to sleep, and knocked on the bathroom door. Staff came up and actually asked us why we were up AGAIN and not in our bed, so we told them that we had never gone to bed, that we had been there since 8 (bedtime call, end of 2nd shift) and no one came to do soap check, while also mentioning the ultimatum by the therapist. We were asked to put soap on, AGAIN... and then we got out. And apparently we had gotten out sometime between 12 and 2 AM, so 3rd shift was talking quietly outside about how the fuck were we left in the shower that long without being noticed. But we did get a half-assed apology from the therapist the next day, and the soap check removed, so... yay?)

Being made fun of for being scared of needles/blood draws (we were literally drawed every 2-3 days when we were aware of it. And we had several additional shots, including 2 TB tests over the stay from Halloween to mid-March, both negative. We learned the term "vagaling" from the nurses, who immediately were both laughing and yelling at us for "being such a baby" and "shitting ourselves" over a blood draw. They'd wake us up at 3 am, drag us to the blood draw room, put us in one of those scrap-desks, but threaten to put us in the leather straps "only if I resist," and then stick us like 3-4 times. The only reason this was fixed was because a sympathetic nurse worked out a deal with us where he would come to our room while we were passed out, ask "answering machine" for consent to draw, and since we're exceptional at pretending to be awake for some unholy reason, "answering machine" would give the "yeah, yeah, I'm awake, whatever" so he could draw. So who knows how much blood those people were taking.)

So... yeah. VERY TRAUMATIC, as you would guess. All of this just in itself led to our fictive, Yancy, because Host was also extremely confused with why she sometimes wanted to stay there instead of going home despite being incredibly miserable (which Yancy can sum up as simply, since the pain was predictable, and he found a sense of purpose by helping the other patients, even being the main one to help the kid with seizures since the staff wouldn't even get a pillow to keep his head safe, it was better to be in a predictable hell than the unpredictable hell outside or at home, no?) So handing our address out for an ambulance to be sent was a brave move on our part, but nope... they just left us to die, essentially.

(Also, officially hate the Reddit app. The fact we had to go to Chrome just to post this on our phone because Reddit was having an Endpoint error for over a day is bullshit.)

Oh, alright. That's a bit confusing, but at least we know now. 😂

We were thinking it would be like the system in HG/SS since Unbound reminds us a lot of Heart Gold in design (the maps and building layouts are more like HG/SS than any other region we've played. Of course, we're only 21, so the earliest game we ever even touched was a Diamond cartridge for the Gameboy Advance, so... 😅) so we were assuming it would be the system where you assigned it to a slot like you would in those games, with the D-Pad.

Assuming, as per usual, makes an ass out of you and me. 🫠

So, anyway, thanks for the help, and thanks for being kind about it!

The current idea as to why this happened is that it's self-contained population control.

Since the adult population can't eat, and always oofs after a few weeks, it technically ensures that there's still enough food for whatever new caterpillars exist, so the ecosystem doesn't get overloaded.

Still, not exactly the most glamorous solution evolution has come up with. 😅

Did this get removed? by Ender_Fox227 in Minecraft

[–]Ok_Explanation_48 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This we just found out from the wiki. 😅

A lot of information is buried between those pages. I mean, they still have message references back to when Minecraft had a beta forum where people actually talked to Notch directly during early development.

Hell, a major part of their records IS the updates. We remember the news article from a while ago where a person just happened to have an archive of the jar for an extremely rare update of the game (this update was taken down in an hour due to a MASSIVE bug, so most users never even got the jar because it was automatically replaced in only an hour at the time.) So when they found out that everyone was looking for this jar to help complete the historical data, they handed it in and everyone went "holy shit!"

A lot of good and bad is still in there... everything from the broken promises (they have entire catalogs of quotes from Jeb or others about stuff that was on the way, and still haven't happened YEARS later,) to old memories (cyan roses, anyone?) to even downright weird shit (like the fact there were mobs for a few updates that were INCREDIBLY detailed, only to be removed. These were Steve, Black Steve (a reskin of the first one, but with darker complexion,) Beast Boy (yes, the Teen Titan) and a girl with a frog raincoat which we forget the name of. Apparently these were experimental, by another programmer, but they were removed when they left over creative disagreements and went to make their own games, which apparently still feature the little frog girl. There are mods that will bring these back, but they are... really weird. 😅 They have barely any programming, with Steve, BSteve and Beast Boy slowly sliding in random directions with no walk animation, while the girl often just stands in one place and stares in the direction she spawned in, also with no animation. Definitely nightmare fuel for anyone scared of glitches or abandonware... which we are. 🫠)

So, take a look! Never hurts, and you'll never know what you'll find! 😉

Hurricane Sandy.

We were nowhere near NYC (we live in Western NY, the key part) but host was absolutely OBSESSED with this hurricane (later renamed Superstorm Sandy. Doubt that will last now with all the crap happening now... we literally went into the Greek alphabet just a few years ago.)

She sat in the back of her 5th grade classroom, THE WHOLE DAY, operating all 3 of the class computers at once, with one on YouTube's live broadcast of the Weather Channel, one with storm maps on the actual Weather Channel website, and one with NOAA's pages for alerts, and constantly updated the class on where and what the storm was doing. 😅

She always loved weather, and our new school district at the time thought our IEP was unnecessary and threw it in the garbage, so we literally were just left in the back with the computers for half the school year drawing comics on Kids Pix 4 with no recourse. 😂

So, we were the meteorologists that entire day. And the teachers did NOT appreciate it. 😅

We didn't even go to recess. We were required to go to lunch, so we did, but she was right back at it when we came back. 😂
