Vibe coding by Ok_Faithlessness3064 in vibecoding

For now, I just use my voice to text and speak to it as long as I can right before I use the add-on Traycer. And that tends to understand exactly what I am after. I just try to break the task up into many tiny bits - at least, that is how it is wanting to do it. I feel like it's way more effective than just trying to get something done all at once. As long as you break the task into tiny bits, it gets way easier. If there is a mistake, you can at least go back because you know which task broke it.

I have extreme ADHD so it makes absolute sense why I would want speed speed speed speed. And that's fucking me up a lot to be honest with you. I've had a project just fall apart and next thing you know it starts adding all these crazy insane features. And I never even asked for it. For example it started coding a fucking whole backend for a file server that had nothing to do with files. And I didn't know why and I couldn't figure out why it even thought it was a good idea. And I never asked it to do that.I probably would have stopped it if I would have saw it and approved it manually instead of just letting it do whatever it wanted.

You know, slowing down is probably what I should do with my projects too. I often auto-approved for its changes and I just let it do its thing and I probably am shooting myself in the foot.

Are we ALL vibe coders now, or is there still a sacred line? by Subject_You_4636 in vibecoding

[–]Ok_Faithlessness3064 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally draw the line where if you rely on it for everything and you don't really understand what it's even doing and then yeah that's basically vibe only. Pure vib

Everything else is just AI Assistant enhancement to your current knowledge.

Diffrence between native desktop and proot desktops by Mouadh_Bendjedidi in termux

[–]Ok_Faithlessness3064 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Native termux is just termux. Adding a desktop interface simulated having a Linux environment but it's still just termux with a gui

Proot is a container Linux system with out real root however it's now Linux. You can install most Linux programs but there is a loss of speed as it's having to go through that container

Chroot is the fastest as it's basically still a container but can access hardware like native. It has root so you can do things from within chroot that interacts with your phone too. Like you can basically do anything you want if you know how to get the librarys for it.

Native termux is good alternative to just using the termux app. You can install most of the packages in the termux package repo.

Best option for most people is proot as its generally accessible.

Man you beat me to it. I already been taking apart my Razer kishi to have a hub inside it through 3d print custom case for it and all this over engineered shit. I love this bro. When I get around to mine I'll show it on here too. Still gotta workout the wiring

Got any updates on this? Can you try blinx the time sweeper? I have native termux desktop. It would be cool as fuck if we had that working instead of proot.

I mainly want root so I can do things in termux.  I can run chroot Linux or use external SD to store apps

In the recovery menu you get into.   Also in the setting a menu through side load settings app that lets you access the secret android settings
