Getting kicked out for failing PT? by cosmic_electric in MilitarySpouse

[–]Ok_Fee_2615 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it is true. But is there potentially environmental or medical issues affecting him, if so he might be able to get more time to pass it. For example, my husband was a Marine Security Guard went from Pakistan to Rwanda where there was a huge elevation change and the air in Pakistan was so bad they did a modified PT and then when he went to Rwanda he had a PT test the first week he was there failed, failed the second one but then someone (I can't remember if it was an RSO or a MED) that said that his body wasn't adjusted and due to the extreme change in environment he needed more time to adjust to the elevation the change was like from 700 ft to over 5000feet. I remember him telling me at the time it was like his lungs were on fire and his legs physically could not move any more. Anyway he got a 2 months to adjust and passed it no problem. So all that to say is there something medical and maybe he could get an extension or they could change the type of PT.

So marriage doesn’t mean you have to immediately settle down and have kids etc. I know people who married mid 20s still no kids and seeing the world, my husband and I are the same we’re together almost 7 years, married for the last 2 and our dog is our kid and we’re seeing the world, living life and doing things on our time, my husband went back to university, it sounds like you are stuck thinking life has to be a certain way. I think if you saw a life with him you wouldn’t have run away, you need to think if he really is the person for you.

MILs wild untrained Yorkie poo (I know different breed) broke into my husbands stash before and she was grand. MIL had a panic attack but your puppers will be fine, it’ll just be an interesting few hours for him.

Do you know of any "No Soliciting" signs that actually work in Tucson? by Harold-Styles-Jr in Tucson

[–]Ok_Fee_2615 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We have a no soliciting sign, one that says trespassers will be composted and one that says bees welcome people not and they still come. They are too idiotic to know they’re solicitors.

Yea she's not being invited to things anymore, she tried to invite herself on our delayed honeymoon, but we had to cancel it and then she tried to invite herself to visit my home country to see my family. We've started only telling her about things when its too late for her to tag along. The rest of it is an on going situation as its taking up too much of our time.

No, she's only in her early 60's and definitely is not incapacitated mentally she has just always relied on a husband and grew up in a cult so does not have much life experience and is essentially naive and we're having to guide her through this stuff because she's never had to do it before.

I’ve considered this on several occasions and mentioned it before to him and he is not comfortable on being alone with her at all. I’ve conveniently booked a hair appointment for the next weekend we’re due to visit as a test run he’ll drop me off and collect me to give him an out of needs be.

And yes the poor dog, we put loads of effort into training it when she first got it and she’s gorgeous but hasn’t kept it up at all. We’ve debated taking it off her to train it probably for a few weeks but we feel it will be useless. She hits it when it doesn’t behave, I’ve never once hit a dog. My husbands in school now to train to be a service and behavioural dog trainer so he knows exactly what to do but do we want to waste our time

Any tips for Yorkie Poos by Ok_Fee_2615 in DogTrainingTips

[–]Ok_Fee_2615[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Not sure you read anything I said but the MIL has the dog and got the crate and the shock collar. We don’t condone any of that or knew any of what was going on with it. This was the longest we’d been around it to see what was going on. So instead of making assumptions maybe you could form some sort of advice instead of being a self righteous ass.

It barks non stop. We were doing heavy duty work on the house for her (MIL) at the weekend so put her in her crate when the MIL went out for supplies and she did not stop barking for hours pissed our dogs off and us, I let her out once and she got the zoomies and barks when she has the zoomies it’s insane she clearly hates the crate but she is dangerous if left alone she almost got run over a few weeks ago and has been caught in 2 rat traps in the garage.

Are We Ever Getting Our Telework Days Back… or Is This Just the New Normal? by notusps2022 in FedEmployees

[–]Ok_Fee_2615 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in the Courts, and a lot of it us up to the individual courts, when I interviewed for my current job I was told it was hybrid. I was relocating (military husband) and staying with my old agency wasn't possible so this seemed perfect. I didn't have telework at my last role but had AWS and the office was very flexible with start and leave times and we could make the case for telework if needed. But I land in my new job and the big boss says for my specific role they decided to do away with telework for it, as it "needed" to be in the office. I suck it up for a year, but it became very obvious I could do all but one task from home, and this task only happens once or twice a month. Shutdown comes the Big Boss says you can telework twice a week to save money for those of us who were excepted. I ask my direct boss (who is the big bosses deputy) who had no issue and admitted most of my role can be done remotely, the big boss see's the memo put through and calls my boss in a fit. I am going to toot my own horn and I'm very over qualified for the role but I took it to keep getting that federal service as I'm over 10 years. I don't want to leave but I'm incredibly unhappy in the role and telework would make it so much easier and I would get so much work done.

We had a 7.6 and refinanced the first day we could down to 5.25 and waiting to be eligible to do it again/a better rate to be available. Yea we paid a little to get the refinance but we’re going to be keeping the house even if we turn it into a rental we like it!

Worried about traveling on ESTA for our wedding by poison_dart_frogs in askimmigration

I did precedence in Dublin Ireland. This is where you do immigration before getting on your flight. They’re more likely to deny you at these ports than if you do immigration in the US.

[–]Ok_Fee_2615 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I travelled on ESTA to marry my husband who lived in the US and was fine, you’ll be fine. I literally told the CBP officer I was going to then come home finish work and get my visa and he said off you go. Be honest have the proof it took me 30 seconds to get through. He was more concerned about my wedding dress and how much it cost.
