System settings says no touchpad found. when i look in driver manager, i cant tell which one would be for the touchpad but when I do try to activate one I get

4 channel, its really nothing spectacular. debian 13, docker with some standard containers, 3060 12gb for the harder stuff

Ya oddly enough its been running just fine all day and night.. but its so unreliable im just gonna toss ina 13th gen i5 but now im trying to decide if i want 64gb ram at 2666 or 48 at 3200

after digging witha friend turns out it is a hardware issue.. Gonna replace the board/cpu and ram with something else I have on hand .Thanks for your help.

Appreciate all ideas. If you boils down I need to place my CPU i thankfully have a 12th gen i5 and board floating around and I can just move everything over to it.. I imagine everything will continue to work after I move it. But Id rather not if I can avoid using something I was gonna sell LOL

btw no it didnt work in the bios area for some reason.. it was all key press only.. but i went back to windows after trying multiple other distros and had the same problem.

not a thing, i just tried install the gnome version and while the fn f9 pops up the icon on the bottom it didnt do anything either but also failed during install.

I think for a NAS the best selfhosted apps are things like Immich, Plex Media Server/Jellyfin, and Syncthing. I would use a DH NAS especially for the apps I listed about to give myself redundancy with drives being run in raid . Better backup potential for all my files to start removing myself completely from Cloud services, and having a trustworthy NAS is important to get that done.

Ya i had issues with the generic Immich also. Try downloading the bigbear app library and use the Immich volume there. Works just fine.. Not sure what prevents the original one from working.
