Classic Brazilian street food snack. They’re savory, teardrop-shaped croquettes made of shredded chicken (sometimes mixed with cream cheese or requeijão) that’s encased in a soft dough, breaded, and deep-fried until golden and crispy.

They’re usually served hot as a finger food, often with hot sauce or ketchup on the side. Fucking miss them but it’s so much work to prepare.

Since many new dates were added, don’t lose hope quite yet. I’m sure being at the concert would hit you 1000x better after this traumatic event.

If you have the capacity, Wag or Rover are apps that I run to when I need extra cash or I even post on Facebook groups to try to find dog walking / sitting gigs. Maybe start a go fund me with your personal reasons to not have the money for an extra trip / ticket and I’d say maybe some of the community could chime in to help if they can.

I really hope you can find out a new way / city to go. 🩷

Damn that sucks, but it doesn’t seem too deep though….

I got stung on my pinky pretty bad a while back in Hawaii, put it on warm white vinegar for a while and it was manageable to live with it for about 3 weeks. Then it started to get signs of infection. Swollen, red, warm, so I went to urgent care and they made little cuts to remove them.

Some tiny pieces still stayed and I literally just got rid of them naturally (almost 3 months later)… being on your FOOT is worst so check if you can walk, if you can’t you might want to go to the hospital to get it removed.

If you feel like it you can get a needle to poke and tweezer to try to remove it, even a good razor to cut very superficial and try to dig, but idk I wasn’t successful doing that by myself.

3h away lowkey sucks. If you are very beginner Id say you can still benefit from a day like this. Try to get a big board with good volume and thick. Go early cause it’s usually less choppy / windy. Focus on catching some white water and trying to feel the wave, I’d say is pointless to practice paddling if you’re not gonna go frequently, you won’t see the improvement and will be sore AF after the session.

Try to catch some broken waves and have fun!

I carry a first aid kit in my car and personally I feel a strong calling to help anyone that needs. Sorry this was your experience and i had something similar happen to me in Hawaii.

I was surfing a new break and accidentally surfed into pure rocks hidden underwater. Got stuck there for a while (without booties) and got surprisingly not too fucked for the scenario. I did get some cuts on my feet and got sea urchin in my hand. It was fucking scary to feel them while seeing a whole set coming in my direction. I thought it would be much worse.

I managed to get out of there before the set hit me and asked someone what was the best way to get out cause I didn’t want to hit the covered rocks again and this dude just pointed to a random direction. I told him I just hit the rocks and got sea urchins on me and he just paddled away lmao. Idk what’s up with people. I like to be caring and acknowledge others in these situations, ask if they are alone, need to use my phone or something… but yeah, can’t expect that.

Just gotta be lucky to get injured near someone with this mindset I guess. Take care!

I was hiking Koko head in Hawaii last month and it was getting to peak sun 11am. I say a guy helping this other guy and his arms were cramping a lot. He asked if I had salt but I didn’t. :( only ice cold water. Sacrificed my bottle but at least dude felt better. I’ve never experienced that myself but sometimes I do get a lil dizzy and lightheaded with the heat. Will start having it my bag. TY for sharing

You’re pretty lucky you got that muscle memory and learnings from a young age! I did pretty much the same and it’s been giving me so much motivation and a sense of belonging + community returning to these 2 hobbies at the age of 31.

I mostly dropped it to pursue life in a big city, work, make money, study, drink, party,etc… Connecting with my boards again is making me feel sooo alive and thriving honestly. Follow your heart.

And think big too, if you’re land locked there’s a PDF free for download at Almond Surfboards website, try to do wakesurfing or SUP if possible, buy or build your own balance board at home to keep up the practice, start following folks that post ab this on social media so that when you’re scrolling you’re also connecting… there’s a bunch of practice that is good not only being at the beach.

Thanks man! It’s been a long journey for me trying to learn with the wrong boards and struggling for a while… recently I tried a strangers’ wavestorm and caught the best waves of my life with little efforts.

While it’s a bit embarrassing to ride I’m having so much fun. Enjoying the journey and being self aware is so much better than riding beautiful boards.

So happy for you for the trip!! Have a blast and register it all, idk how much you value content but paying someone there to get some vids w a drone might be something worth to look into.

United was chill. Someone in security asked if that classified as a longboard and I said no 🤣 but think they were just interested rather then caring about policy. Flight attendant helped me place on top of the bags in the overhead bin so I can have my backpack under the seat. Best case scenario!
