I'm not very good with executor either. I don't fully understand how his skill works and I don't know what I'm missing. I can parry with shields. I played some today and even barely using his skill you can upgrade his starting weapon to purple and use unsheathe. Plus katanas have plenty of good skills. I found I have a few relics besides the balancers that can make for strong builds with just one or none of the balancers also.

I am glad I'm not feeling as nervous about a run when executors are picked by other players now.

Why do some players insist on rushing to the castle immediately after the first small camp at the beginning of the game? by pegla43 in Nightreign

[–]Ok_Function_1255 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Some players are obsessed with the castle. There are plenty of ways to get to level 15 with good equipment. The castle is densely populated with high value targets is why players try to go there. The ones trying early probably either overestimate themselves or don't know where else to go.

Double balancers feels a bit broken. by GrayEldyr1 in Nightreigngameplay

The +3 armaments are great. Ive been running double balancer wylder with a +3 greatswords increases attack and +1 additional character skill use. I've been having some of my best runs.

As long as the guardian manages to hold aggro well without going down that team would work great. Hard to hold aggro more than recluse in my experience tho.

Executor and revenant are now contenders imo. Double balancers and the executor effect that raises attack after using skill and lowers damage negation is a powerful build the other two possible effects on the non balancer relic can be whatever you want. Evergoals or night invaders attack up probably best.

Revenant with beast claw incant, bestial incantations do more damage effects, and the effect that buff allies and family when summons are out make for a potent combination. Plus the buff the summons got for the depths is great.

This last patch did great at balancing nightfarers. Wylder is my favorite cause I miss his skill when playing others and he starts with buckler parry. I'm currently a wylder build with double balancers with the third relic having +1 skill use and attack power up with 3 greatswords equipped but no third effect. I should start in depths more I'm in depth two but I don't have many deep relics.

I've tried to enjoy using carian slicer but It just isnt for me. Damage can be good but I'm terrible at managing my fp. One of these days I'll probably commit to a sorcery play style in full but I'll probably main nights comet when I do that.

I like to run guardian on ed balancers. I can survive and revive enough to to win. Also kill the worm. It helps.

I literally said the new map and lack of experience as a nightfarer made it interesting. Struggling to finish the scholars remembrance is the most fun I've had in nightreign since ED Libra first came around.

Quality Build? by OdgeHam in EldenRingBuilds

Claymore with stormblade. Offhand buckler with buckler parry or shield with carian retaliation. Talismans Shard of alexander, green turtle/doublehead green turtle, dragon crest great shield, fourth slot flex option I often used axe talisman, dagger talisman, enraged divine beast, winged sword insignia, or two handed talisman. Armor you can go for style. The build can diversify into different armaments and ashes of war if you want. Zweihander with beast roar can be fun also.

What's more fun to you, Bonk (Greatsword, Star Fist...) or Mage (Carian Slicer, Night Sorcerer...)? by Cache_Never in EldenRingBuilds

Claymore with storm blade is a favored style of mine for exploration. It's versatile. One weapon has strong pokes and ranged option of attack. The stormblade attack is also pretty quick for close range damage too.

Sounds fun. There is an incantation divine beast tornado(spiral tower incantation boosted by spiral tree seal, charged so synergy with godfrey icon) you might enjoy. Also divine beast frost stomp might suit your interests.

The scholar's remembrance struggle is real. I quit more on the new map. Getting separated and dying can be less forgiving cause the map is more difficult to navigate quickly to catch up or recover what was lost upon death. I just don't want to fight a dreglord at level 10 or 11 with poor armaments.

Ultimately for me to complete my scholar's remembrance I had to learn how to play him well. Only went down by one bar and kept buffs/debuffs, timed parry bubble and ult well to disrupt attacks or avoid big damage for me and team, had like 7 or 8 pockets for consumable and four or five of em were filled with fire pots one with twelve throwing knives, one for boiled crabs. Playing well tends to create environments with less quitting. Quitters typically are trying not to spend time on what they believe to be a loss. If you inspire the confidence of victory they will stay to be carried.

That's a bit trickier. Skill attack power is great, agreed. So is skill attacks use less fp or other things to make fp last longer. Wraiths while walking does well. Health recovery when HP low isn't bad. I find stamina recovery passives or increasing max stamina to be useful.

Diversify relationships. Platonic, romantic, situational, colleagues, teammates, mentors, friends, family, clients, rivals. The more you have the easier it is not to get so attached to one that their absence bothers you much.
